BTW, I hope this Black Goku will not end up being some bad fanart tier enemy, many of us were worried about an evil Goku arrival, and it came for real aside from this, i'm still super-excited by Future Trunks returning, It's my favourite character, I was hoping for him returning since Cell saga ending, and that day is finally coming, after 20+ years, still can't believe it!!

I also hope will not be treated like garbage ( ahem...someone said Gohan ) but he'll get some times to shine, and I hope the same for the still loved Gohan ( and please, give to Goten and Trunks something to do

Maybe - maybe - with this new arc, we'll get that serious tone that most of us wanted from Super, and that's missing for now
Ok, this show is created for kids, but... everything is a joke, by now, Super needs some DBZ-style tragic moments

Anime like DB & Z were made to sell the manga and in order to do that it had to have a good story so that always came 1st unlike now.

This does not make sense. Toriyama is still the one to write the stories and he doesn't care about selling toys. He might take suggestions for storylines or transformations so that Bandai can make action figures or sell stuff but he's the one in charge on how to flesh out that story. Other than that is not his business.

I want to point out that "Goku" and "black" are not separated in the name. Sometimes, there is usually a dot to separate the names, like Jackie Chun = ジャッキー・チュン. But Goku Black is not "ゴクウ・ブラック", it's simply all together in "ゴクウブラック", much like Vegeta-Baby (ベジータベビー), so I'll assume that there will be a character named "Black" who absorbs or possesses the Goku from Trunks' timeline.

Unless someone who actually speaks Japanese tells me this is nonsense.

You're mostly right but there's doesn't seem to be a pattern to separate it by a dot or not. Both "Great Saiyaman" and "Migthy Mask" don't have the dot while "Mister Satan" has it.

Maybe I posted my thoughts on this new arc but I'll post them again - I'm quite excited for it. It shows that Super is ready to be serious. Nothing can be more serious than BLACK GOKU, right? Just like how the most serious genre of metal is BLACK METAL because of how SERIOUS they are... SO SERIOUS THEY KILL PEOPLE AND BURN CHURCHES.... SUPER SERIOUS.

So BLACK GOKU, I predict, is going to be tr00, grim, kvlt... heh, Goku in Corpsepaint walking in a grim forest underneath a Transylvanian full moon.

Goku Black is not "ゴクウ・ブラック", it's simply all together in "ゴクウブラック", much like Vegeta-Baby (ベジータベビー), so I'll assume that there will be a character named "Black".

It's not a new idea. In GT we've had the name Vegeta-Baby (Baby Vegeta in English versions), for example, and here, Goku-Black's name is set up the same way. Goku's name is in katakana here, even.

Oh, I wrote about that in my original post too, actually. It might be related to Copy Vegeta somehow, yeah. I don't know how this copier will work, but Goku's gonna fight him/it in episode 46, and Future Trunks will appear in episode 47 if my counting is correct, so... Maybe there's a relation.
At the same time, though, I don't think we'd be introduced to Black so soon if Black is a villain, and a major one at that.
Unless he figures that Goku is stronger than Vegeta and goes from being Vegeta-Black to being Goku-Black during the fight in episode 46?

For this goku black to be a threat, they have to be super powerful or have some super abilities. Otherwise there are people way stronger than goku, like the omni-king, beerus, Whis, Champa, Vados, Hit etc.

I have a theory that Beerus restoring the Earth of Universe 6 is the cause of the new events in Future Trunks timeline with Black Goku. Like maybe the Goku of Universe 6 didn't lose his memories, and ended up destroying the Uni 6 Earth. That probably could explain why that Earth was destroyed.

The thing is that even if goku of uni.6 earth did not lose memory, he should still be no threat to future trunks. Kid Goku was really weak.He could not even destroy the planet, he could just kill people.

I believe Japanese phrases don't separate words most of the time. For example, Golden Freeza is written ゴールデンフリーザ (Gōruden Furīza), not ゴールデン・フリーザ. However, this "Goku Black" situation is quite strange, since Goku's name is written in kanji, 悟空, but in this case, it's written in katakana, ゴク, which seems very odd unless they wanted to denote a single word, like "Gokublack".

However, I know only the basic, so I might be wrong.

Some of these are completely different characters though. I definitely wouldn't say that blackbeard is just evil Luffy. Venom isn't just evil spiderman. I don't know the other ones, but all of them besides for reverse flash and red hulk seem like different characters. Again, I don't know them so that might not be the face. If goku black really is evil goku then it's a case where it's the EXACT same person except for the fact that he's evil. And again, I never said that this would be bad. It'll probably be enjoyable but I still prefer a completely new character.

Well I know all of these, and none of them are the EXACT same character but evil. Even Red Hulk and reverse Flash are actually completely different people. They provide a contrast to the hero, yes, but are in no way the same.

This is totally left field but what about zombies or zombie like? Abusing the Dragon Balls should have it's problems, I think Old Kai mention something about it. Maybe Trunks tried to resurrect Goku; a combination of being impossible because he died of natural causes and the negative consequences of the regular use of the Dragon Balls gives us this Goku Black.

Another interesting thing I thought. What if this time Goku Black doesn't follow Trunks to "our" timeline, but instead the warriors go there? I think their reactions to that world would be very nice to see.

That's what I've felt might be the outcome the moment the news hit. It seems way too convenient that we're introduced to a Copy-Sautean capable of mimicking/transforming into other people (resulting in a Copy-Vegeta) within an episode or so of the Trunks story arc coming along and introducing us to Goku Black. While it's possible that it is a coincidence, the two happening so close together strikes me as being a bit too convenient for that.
