My guess is we won't see what "Gokû Black" looks like until June VJump. I don't think it'll be this month's since this Future Trunks arc doesn't start til mid-June.
On hiatus.

Hello everyone!
I have a bizarre theory ...

When Trunks traveled in time for the first time in Dragon Ball Z, the future has not changed. In Super, Vados says "the Sixth Universe's Earth is devastated by war" ... and if Future Trunks came from the Sixth Universe? Androids would have caused the war mentioned by Vados, and the fact that Beerus with Super Dragon Balls has restored the planet could cause new threats that push Trunks to travel back in time once again for help.

This would be something thought in retrospect, but it would work perfectly in the current history.
Dragon Ball, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and DuckTales: no matter how old I get, these three things will always be my greatest passions.

I don't see the white haired transformation making it's debut in this arc, Mr.Toriyama said he had no plans for Goku to surpass Beerus. Doesn't mean the transformation would make Goku much stronger, still I find that both things don't connect.
The transformation might never appear, he said he would save it for later. Later might never come.

A little contradiction I found between these interviews(see the underlined parts):

Super Manga interview
Recent Announcement
I wonder if he started falling victim to his own story, having a hard time simplifying what was done. I'm very intrigued about this arc, much more than the tournament one.

I think before the RF arc started or a little bit after.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

The announcement from Toei says it's the Trunks who defeated Cell and restored peace to the future though. It's pretty clear it's the same one we know from before.

Now that's a pretty cool idea. I'd like to see it happen

The Chozenshuu establishes that all Dragon Ball related content released up to Battle of Gods (the most recent DB related work released by the time of the Chozenshuu's release) took place in Universe 7. So the manga/anime, all the movies, GT, the alternate timelines introduced in the Cell Saga, Dr. Slump, Neko Majin Z, etc still took place in Universe 7. Alternate versions of Universe 7, but still Universe 7.

Unless we're told otherwise, everything explained to us so far indicates that Trunks' timeline has its own version of the twelve universes (he residing in the Universe 7 of that timeline) and not that he exists in a different universe of the twelve.

Of course, I meant the Trunks that we know could come from the Sixth Universe without knowing that multiple universes exist, and this would also provide a new explanation for why his future is not changed.

Well it's already been established that the same people aren't mirrored in Universe 6, just similar ideas, races etc.

Dragon Ball Heroes might actually spoil and bring some content before July 12th, as it did with Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan and the confirmation of the return of Super Saiyan (with the new dogi) before.

July is the month which GDM9 hits, so... Beware of that game if you don't want to be spoiled.

But why do we have to wait that long? That sucks.
It's bad enough that we get 4 or 5 filler episodes before the start of the "Black Goku Arc". But at least give us a poster or something and show us a new SSJWhite form(if there really is going to be one) to promote the upcoming saga before that time arrives. Just like they did with BoG and RoF. 4-5 weeks is a long ass time afterall. All this waiting is making me anxious.

It's only a month. Not nearly as bad as the wait between the retelling of the Battle of the Gods and Resurrection F to finally get to the new content. There will certainly be reveals in magazines before the new arc begins.

Additionally, it wouldn't work that was because it was established in the Super manga and anime that only Universe 6 and 7 are twins of one another, meaning that the other ten universes aren't related to Universe 6 and 7. As such, it wouldn't be possible for Future Trunks' "timeline" to be Universe 6, because then there'd be no possible source for Cell, which is from a timeline distinct from the main story timeline and Trunks'.

We don't know that any of these upcoming episodes truly are going to be "filler" ones or not. Besides, this recently released info is still brand new, so it's pretty unreasonable that you're this anxious and unable to wait.

Oh! I got so blinded by the fact of bringing Future Trunks back that I read incorrectly which month is. So it's closer than I thought. :o

You're in the right track, but technically, it's the same Universe 7 as "ours", but in a different place in the time axis (an alternate timeline). You have to think in five dimensions to understand, it's very complicated :?

Since that first interview likely took place a few months ago, i think he thought it would be a simpler matter than it turned out to be in the end, lol. But he didn't sound very sure if he could do it already.

It's also interesting how he says he "got an idea", and in general, he sounds like it was a little more than a concept back then. Putting the whole thing on paper maybe gave him a couple of headaches.
