And yay, I finally ordered Kai from Right Stuf! It took me a while, but last night I realized that Dragon Box Z volume one isn't going to last me till Kai ends up on sale somewhere.
I just did that last night also.

I was going to just get it at Best Buy or something the day it comes out, but screw that. I want a chance at getting it early!

I'm personally looking forward to the early Namek fights (Kui, Dodoria, Zarbon, and the Ginyu Force).

Do we know which voices said villains will have yet? Same voices? Any changes? Sabat might have to get a new VA or change his Reacum voice. I don't think it will work out so well, even with an accurate script (one of the few I feel that way).

Nope, not yet. I don't think we'll hear from that until we're close to Part 2's release.

Y'know, it's weird, usually by now, FUNi would have uploaded the dub episodes on their video site...hmm...ah well.

Ninja Nonsense.
Interestingly enough, his character on Ninja Nonsense is voiced by the Japanese voice of Cell in Japanese (though haven't seen it in Japanese so don't know how he sounds there).

Sean Schemmel is posting on his fan page on facebook that he's got his copy of DBZ Kai part 1.

In doing so, he has confirmed that there are absolutely no bonus features on the discs.

No big deal. The dub is so awesome, I don't care if there's any extras or not.

Well, we don't know if it'll be totally awesome just yet...

Well, yes we do, who am I kidding? I mean they say Makanksappo for Christ's sake! I'm so pumped!

There are no extras. Japanese, and English tracks both with original Japanese music. The external box art is clean and simple but still very cool. I don't think this needs extras frankly, it's so good on it's own.

Lol, he agrees. Also:

Seán Schemmel
there are textless opening and closing themes. What you're going to see on tv will be the Y7 version. It will not be as pure as the DVD.

Note: The DVD is an unspoiled virgin, and the Nicktoons version has had to do some desperate things to survive

Seán Schemmel
It's the way it should have been done the first time. The powers that be now are infinitely more talented, experienced and qualified. I mean that for pretty much every body from the actors to very equipment used to record it.

This, I fully agree with.

It's great that we finally get all of this.

Sounds great, I wonder if this means it will ship early?

I kind of wish they'd include an edited dub as an alternate audio track. Its the same problem I have with FUNi's One Piece. This is a childrens' show, but I can't sit and watch it with my little brothers because they don't need to be hearing words like "shit" in a cartoon.

Well, do they need to see people killing each other and all of the other violent things that happen on screen, not to mention the sexual references?

Hey, I'm not going to try to validate my dad's method of raising them. They're his kids, not mine. Dragon Ball is a children's program.

Violence is nothing new to them and the sexual references, at least the subtle ones, will go over their heads.

Isn't Kai pretty much bloodless though, or was that just something they did for the Raditz fight? I stopped watching around that point...

Anyone who thinks the problem with children watching a show about guys punching holes in each other is mild swearing needs to reorganize their priorities.

I doubt there'll be any swearing in the TV broadcast, so there you go, a child-safe version... of a show that was already for children.

Blood comes back, but sometimes it's off and on.

For example, Vegeta coughing up blood and it landing on Freeza's face is kept intact. As well as Freeza licking said blood off of his face.

But minutes later when he is shot through the heart (and you're to... nevermind) he coughs up no blood.
