I like this one, although I preferred the Euro Spa version: I think the lyrics were a bit better.
Is it me or Beerus (or Bills, depending on the dub) and Whis sound similar in all languages?

I'm holding off from watching the Bingo scene in English - want to save that for my first viewing of the dub! However from what I've heard so far I absolutely love it! Beerus sounds great too.
Also, I laughed more in that 7 minute clip that was released the other day than the entire viewing of BOG in Japanese. Think Funimation seem to have done a top job on this.

I love the clips that we've seen. I'm almost more hyped to see the dub than I was to see the film in the first place.

Out of curiosity, is the Extended Version of BoG viewable anywhere? I've seen the Original and I've got my Ticket for the Dub in August, however it dawned on me. "I've never seen the Extended Version!" So is it somewhere within the Wild, wild West that is the Inter-Web, or am I relegated to merely viewing the Extended Version article here on the Website?

I gotta love Seans vast improvement here. I loved when he said "You still doubt me?!" with that tone.
Beerus sounds a bit generic though, his voice has a bit of too much plainness and old age to it.

If that's all you want, then all you want is fanservice, rather than an actual coherent story. And of course those aren't mutually exclusive; you could have a coherent story with "shine" moments! But if a story is perfectly coherent (and I'm really not seeing any compelling arguments that this one is anything but, despite constantly recurring, really poorly reasoned, attempts to argue otherwise), and you're bemoaning the lack of "shine" moments as a reason for the story's poor quality, then you're letting your thirst for "shine" moments obfuscate your ability to detect basic storytelling when it's right in front of you.

Do you like Battle of Gods? Do you like IMAX? Well, movietickets has a listing for Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods: the IMAX Experience.
http://www.movietickets.com/movie/mid/157531
Don't know if this is happening or not. It says it comes out on October 6th. But the text above it where the description is says August. We'll have to wait and see.

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

Didn't the Japanese have an IMAX release? So this could be possible. I think the October listing maybe a typo then.

I want to see Mirai Trunks again but that probably won't happen.
This is really interesting though. I hope to see Goku and Beerus do a team up against a common threat. Also curious on who the new characters are going to be.
(Fanfiction link coming soon.)

Yeah, but DBZ in IMAX in the US? Doesn't really seem like it would be profitable to FUNimation, in my opinion.

Yeah, I don't think people will go out there way to watch it in IMAX, but if it doesn't cost that much for FUNi do to a couple IMAX screenings guess it won't hurt.

If I somehow get a IMAX showing i'll definitely see it my Showplace 16 does have IMAX screenings and if it's anything like the quality Godzilla was, i'd happily pay a few bucks more for a teeth rattling loud Kamehameha.

A lot of theaters are gaining this movie. Lucky it showed up in a theater near me. I'm seeing a normal non IMaX version honestly I don't care. I'm gonna be screaming wildly all the same!
P.S. Whoever edited my post, thank you. Also no Extended Version anywhere?

Oh well!

Chances are that it's out there somewhere, but Kanzenshuu is an anti-piracy community. So you're on your own to find it or will have to find help elsewhere, as it's against the rules here. Just for future reference.

Yeah I love his cockiness tone in his ssj3 form! And agree with Beerus's voice too.. I actually kind of hate it so far.

Feels like IGN's been doing a lot to hype up this movie.
I'm not sure they know that it came out last year.
They posted a bunch of clips that we've already seen, but they also put up the 7 minute one that was screened at that convention, as well as a video from the premiere and the final one of those 'DBZ Legacy' videos.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqzjo6cce88
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbkiJ4R7smw
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WcBtJx1cljs (
"So what do you like about Dragon Ball Z?"
"That if I, like, get all seven, I can make a gangster wish.")
I'm actually getting the impression that this is quite a big deal though. 800 theatres sounds pretty significant for a DBZ movie; I wonder if we'll get box office numbers and reviews from actual critics...I know
FMA: Sacred Star of Milos did. Like Japan, I guess; a "Super-Wide Release", as they put it (it was something to that effect, anyway).

For some reason I always had it in my head Beerus should have been voiced by:
Bill Townsley. His voice as Cui just seems to fit Beerus character a bit more to me and less generic of a voice. He has that somewhat gruff low tone that Beerus has, while Beerus though has a goofy side to him as well that I dont think the dusty old-man tone will capture.
They also changed the voice they had for Whis in BOZ, this one sounds less flamboyant than the one from the game. Shame. Whis does look like a very effeminite character. Now his voice too is just. Meh. No emotion. No depth.

Ian Sinclair does the voice for Whis in the game and the film. The voice sounds pretty similar to me. I definitely can't imagine Cui's voice for Beerus. Doesn't fit at all for me.

I could not imagine Cui's voice for Beerus either. I particularly love how Beerus ended up based on the clips of the english dub posted on IGN.
