With Heroes, Dokkan Battle and all the other games, I think Japanese kids already know most of the characters even if they've not seen their movies so not including a movie villain just because of that doesn't seem realistic to me. The simple answer would be that movie and filler villains don't exist, as far as Toriyama is concerned since he's the one coming up with the plot. So, Broli won't appear, Tullece won't appear, King Cold only has one son and Freeza was never brought back from the dead before F.

If it's an evil version of goku I don't know how he'll be a threat, unless he also has trained with with Roshi, Karin, Kami, Kaio and Whis, maybe he's form an evil universe, and all those guys are evil too? Otherwise I don't know, Goku get most of his advantages over Vegeta because he trained with them and learned things that he wouldn't of otherwise.

That's why I think if it is a parallel timeline Gokû, his history diverged wildly from regular Gokû pretty recently, even as recent as shortly after the Champa arc.

- Akira Toriyama strikes a deal with all Hakaishins and Sozoshins to select a person to be the new Zeno.
- Goku and Vegeta use the power of the attendants of Hakaishins from each Universe who can self-destruct to destroy Goku Black.
- Vegeta absorbs the power of Goku Black and becomes a kind of God, building Saiyanworld with its own natural resources.
- The two attendants of Zeno that can also self-destruct give their powers to Goku for him to battle against "Emperor Vegeta", destroying Saiyanworld in the process.
- Goku uses the power that was given to him by the two attendants and starts to rebuild Universe 7 (one of the Universes previously destroyed), bringing all of its inhabitants back with no memories of what had occurred using Super Shenlong. Goku also brings his allies back from the dead, and together with their help, they begin to reconstruct the entire Multiverse.

For some sort of Goku to appear, I can only imagine him being brought back by some sort of necromancer. My imagination is stuck... It would be a very interesting opponent, this supposed necromancer when faced with Goku, Vegeta and company, tries to find stronger bodies.

Yeah, I definitely think it has to have something to do with the Goku, who died from the heart virus in Trunks' timeline. Having some guy bring him back to control this Goku, who has undoubtedly grown even more powerful in the afterlife seems like a good idea.

There's still possibility that Toriyama meant "black Goku" as a metaphor, i.e. some kind of a villain who shares lots of traits/characteristics with Goku

Fans have mixed feelings when Freeza came back. Having Tullece come back would just be worst since he is just a character that appear in one movie from 26 years ago. Most people (kids and causal fans) watching Super will be like "Who the heck is this guy?". Tullece is not a even a Evil Goku, he is just a Saiyan that looks like Goku. He is pretty much Radditz put inside Goku's body.

Freeza is not the best example. Only really the hardcore fans were mixed. Most of the more casual and newer fans were happy about his return and Resurrection 'F' has proven to be a huge success. Also Tullece will be in Xenoverse 2, so people will know who is and he's already in Heroes.

With that said, I highly doubt Black Goku is Tullece since he probably the least popular of all the movie villains.

It could just be a random dude, who's also called Goku. The black being a distinction based on his evil ways or he simply wears black all the time, earning that nickname. I can see Mr.Toriyama pulling our leg.

I hope not... I'm not so sure I'd like to see Gokû surpass Zen'ô (that is, if Zen'ô is actually a strong fighter)...

Sure, Gokû was the strongest being back in the days when we had no idea of the existence of other universes or Hakaishin. He surpassed everyone, even deities. But now, we were introduced to Gods who are genuine and skilled fighters (Beerus and Champa). There are far above Gokû and it puts him back in a place where he can train hard to close the gap. But I hope he will not surpass them, at least not until a long moment and hopefully for a short amount of time (as seen perhaps with the SSJB Kaiôken).

He's nothing but a Saiyan raised on Earth. Yes he's a genius fighter. Yes he's trained by deities. But I wouldn't like the idea that he's far and beyond everyone from all 12 universes. What would be next? I mean, even Beerus understood that he had to pretend there existed someone stronger than Gokû and maybe on par with himself to keep Gokû entertained and active. Sure Gokû would not stop training, but his motivation is fighting strong foes. Being at such a level would render his life pointless (kind of remind how bored Saitama is in OPM, would probably be the same for Gokû), because no one would rival his strength.

I don't really agree wi this. Goku was the strongest on Earth for five years with the only person being his remote equal being Satan, yet he functioned quite well being at the top. I am not sure why some fans have this idea that Goku will become like Saitama if he become the strongest. The way Goku acts when he's fighting people weaker than him, but skilled is to lower himself to their level, so he can enjoy fighting them, so it isn't like he will just become disillusion and bored if he does become the strongest thing in the multiverse. And Goku has been stronger than gods for years, starting with Kami and he was stronger the Supreme Kai even before he met the guy. It's only the Gods of Destruction popping up that gives Goku gods that he can't surpass in just a couple of years.

I don't think Goku will become stronger than Zen-O any time soon, if ever depending on what Toriyama does. I just don't think Goku will lose his reasons for living if he's at the top, which seems to be a popular idea around here.

Toriyama said there will be changes in time that could get complicated, Gods getting involved, etc, so i seriously doubt it's gonna be straight to the point like that.

No, he said he hoped that it wouldn't be complicated for kids.

It's a Marvel storyline from the 80s, I believe. It was adapted in the cartoon series, as well.
