I think they will just go back to their RoF outfits. I'd like to see new ones (and a new haircut for Bulma), but would Toriyama bother to design new visuals for the main characters beside the new characters he's already designing? Not to mention he's coming up with the plots. Maybe it's too much of a hassle..or just an afterthought.

I'd rather they save any new costumes for the main cast for the next movie. I dunno, maybe because of the new One Piece and Naruto movies, it just seems like a thing that should be saved for a movie.

Piccolo is in desperate need of a new costume. I'd say more than anyone else he could do with a new look.

What's the chance of Goku and Vegeta getting new hairstyles? I mean I know a Saiyan's hair is supposed to stay the same and stuff, but what is it like razor sharp or something and no blades can cut it? It'd be neat if Goku had something like future Gohan's haircut. Something different, it could always grow back the same shape its in now a few episodes later. I wouldn't even complain if they done it for one episode to get a new toy out of it. I always thought Kuririn would look cool with a greaser slick back style like in Malik's New Age.

I think haircuts falls too close into GT territory for Toei to risk it. I know Gohan, Bulma, and Yamcha change hairstyles all the time (or used to), but I think part of why Gokû never changed his (in addition to the 'it would just grow back into its usual shape') is I read somewhere that one of the keys to a good character design is being able to look at a silhouette of the character and instantly recognize it. The only reason I think Vegeta even got his Freddie Mercury haircut in GT ok'd was because he dropped from main character to minor character/supporting cast. Once Vegeta became a main character again near the end of GT, that was when his hair finally started to be drawn closer to his Z hairstyle. I also think this is why the beards in Super were a quick gag and nothing more. Transformations are one thing, but Shueisha can't risk losing how recognizable on sight Gokû and Vegeta are.


As for why their hair's shaped like that; I've always figured that's just how long/the direction it grows. All hair has a pre-programmed stop length (growth cycles) built into it.

I actually wish they kept those for a bit. I thought they looked pretty cool. Plus they could have gotten more merchandising with SSJ and SSGSS bear Goku and Vegeta.

With the Champa arc taking place over a single day they could've easily kept the beards for that arc alone if they wanted to do something different without making the beards permanent (now that I see how fast they dropped the F and Champa arc training outfits).


I think the reintroduction of beards is more likely than completely new haircuts would be.

Ehh I thought most of the Resurrection F clothing designs were better than the originals especially Vegeta's.

Piccolo has only ever had two canonical looks, his usual costume and his usual costume without the turban and cloak.

If they can change Goku's look they can change Piccolo's.

I'm pretty sure Piccolo's outfit goes from blue to purple at some point. That's something, at least.

Looks like there's a full episode title now for 47: A SOS from the future! The Black New Enemy Appears!!

Also something like (rough translation)... 17 years later in the future, a new enemy appears before Trunks...

I just went though the easier to read summary for 46. Nothing new you couldn't confirm by the preview outside of Vegeta being frustrated at how Gokû vs Copy Vegeta is going.

Gonna take a look at the more difficult ep 46 summary now (the one with the screenshot).

EDIT: The more difficult summary says something like "Gokû and Copy Vegeta continue to fight. Vegeta watches with mixed feelings..."

Yeah nothing revealing there - but then, I don't expect anything great from 46 other than the preview for 47.

My only hopes for episode 46 are "maybe Vegeta will partly get over his irrtation at Gokû over ssjblue + kaio-ken already?".

I have no idea what to expect from 47; I guess my hopes would be "I want to know if Future Bulma is still alive. Also what does Gokû Black look like?"
