I looked on there a couple days ago and they've definitely added quite a few showings since I last looked. There was no showings at all on the Friday before.
It makes me wonder how much more money the movie could have made if they'd released it in all these countries only months after the Japanese release rather than a year and half.
Maybe they can with the next movie. Release it in more countries, more theatres, for more days and no more than 6 months after the Japanese release and it could do pretty decent I bet.

Pretty awesome. Though I wished western fans can ask questions about his other work instead of just Dragonball. I was so tempted to ask him a saint seiya question but it occurred to me that Andromeda Shun is actually my least favorite character and my Saint Seiya woulda ended up being a question about Hyoga's mama issues. So I ended up asking him if they recorded while animation was still being worked on or if they recorded after animation was all done

I know the artwork's not final, but it's kinda funny how prominent the
20th Century Fox logo is on Madman's cover, compared to other releases of the film.

It's effectively the same size as the Madman logo. Logos around that size are relatively normal on Australian DVDs and BDs because of how prominent they have to make the rating information.

Again I was baited. I clicked, I hoped and no Darwin. UGH. My BoG hype is dying down now anyway. Still doesn't take away the fact I'm still mad. Oh well bring on October 4th.

Time to make an 1800-mile trek across the desert and get yourself to Adelaide? I hear there's food, water and fuel in Alice Springs along the way....

I find the large size of logos and information patronising towards the people who buy them, as if people won't notice anything unless someone waves it right in front of their face. Either way, speaking of Fox, I'm glad they mostly didn't have any hand in the production and distribution of the international release. When I first heard they had the licence due to them producing Evolution, I was a bit nervous as to how they were going to handle BoG, but they made the right decision to leave it practically unaltered.

Ew. I'd rather pick FUNimation's cover which I despise over this one, not only are they using the wrong Super Saiyan Goku for the spine (regardless that it's not the final artwork) but the logos are huge too. Well, at least Madman didn't mess up the original title like FUNimation did (why must they scrap all of the Japanese words?!).
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:

Tomorrow's encore screening of BOG in my city is a complete sell-out. Kind of expected, since it is being shown in the smaller theatre, but I was kinda hoping that I'd be able to just walk-up and buy tickets on the afternoon. No joy. Ah well, there's always next movie.

And so because we're not Japanese then that means they've gotta eliminate the Japanese kanji from the cover because we can't read it? The cover without it looks off and the font FUNimation used for Battle of Gods' title has a strange look to it (trying to imitate the Japanese title).
The UK, Italian, Latin Spanish and etc kept the kanji but for FUNimation is a no-no.

All this discussion....over the appearence of a Blu Ray cover.....
How petty. Just be happy that you're getting it.

I have to agree with Bullza. It doesn't actually make a difference, in movie it's the original Japanese. Also, their logo is just the English colored to look like the Kami to Kami (神と神) in the original logo. Can't believe it's even an issue. I'd agree if it wasn't in the movie proper. Wouldn't call it petty necessarily, but it seems like it's being made into a bigger deal than it should be.

Without personally making a judgement call on it, you have to admit that it's at least interesting how FUNimation's the only company so far in the world that's removed the
kanji from the logo. That's a legitimate discussion point. It might not be worth more than a passing curiosity, but it is one none-the-less.

Quite a contrast from the Ultimate Uncut Editions adding random Japanese to their covers, no?
Who knows why they're doing it, though most of the stuff I own from Funi doesn't have Japanese on it (minus the Dragon Boxes, but we know the deal with that), so maybe they're trying to be consistent?

Man, why are Aus age logo's so big? Bright Yellow too, just ruins the cover.
I wonder if we can get this thread to 1000 pages, I doubt it since all the big news has more or less come and gone, but it'd be pretty cool.

I don't see how it is petty at all. It is a legitimate question that goes deeper than just nitpicking about the cover. It is a Japanese product made by a Japanese company. This seems like a step backwards to the days when they were Westernizing the show to the point that if someone didn't know what anime was, they would of thought it was another American cartoon. I knew tons of people when I got into the series back in middle school who had no idea that shows like DBZ, Pokemon, and Digimon were Japanese because most/all references to Japanese culture were eliminated. I was thinking about it and I'm not sure if all of the blame should really be thrown at FUNi. For all we know, this could have been a requirement by Fox when they released the movie into theaters. Either way, I just find it a really odd decision.
