Actually being too playful and overconfident is Gotenks major flaw, along with the time limit...
The bolded part is what I meant, he was being too of a gag character and not serious enough so he ended up losing against Buu..when he could have won.

Oh, yes, undoubtedly he may be defeated even when he is stronger due to those flaws...
Actually I used to agree on a guy who said that Goku would defeat Gotenks making him waste all his time challenging him with various games like hide and seek and similar and fakely praising him to boost his ego and making him lose even more time talking big...

They are talking about
Trunks' Daizenshuu 7 bio, which says he and Goten demonstrated strength on par with #18's at the 25th tournament and
CatouttaHell needing to redo his power levels list, because he used to have them way lower than #18.

Well... I don't need a Daizenshuu to say that the kids are >>> than No. 18... The power "on par" with her was actually kept low to not destroying her as Trunks said...
Trunks and Goten are SSJ Full Power and thus on just another league than No. 18...
Their true power scares even Piccolo whem they show it in front of Goku... They are more or less as strong as the Cell Juniors to me...
