Kill La Kill ended this weekend. Such a great show and shame to see it end. I wonder if Super will air on the 12:30 slot by early next year?

I definitely think by next year Funimation will have the rights to Super but I don't think it'll end up on Toonami, I think CN may want this on a prime time slot because I think even CN may have realized that a new Dragon Ball show is too good to be wasted at a late night slot.

Funimation at A-Kon said that they want it on Toonami. I think Kai on 12:00 and Super on 12:30 will be double the Dragon Ball. Also would help with ratings too. CN does not care about anime unless it's a toyetic anime like Pokemon. You rarely have anime market to kids in the US expect for Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Little Battlers Experience (Danball Senki), Doraemon and the upcoming Yokai Watch. The kids who grew up with anime on Sci-Fi and Toonami in the 90's and early-mid 2000's are now adults and anime companies now market those anime for that age group for years now.

You make several good point. Toyetic franchises are what Cartoon Network and a lot of major children's TV networks is into nowadays. I just think that a new Dragon Ball anime should gain as much exposure as possible, and I think a prime time slot could do just that. But realistically, I do expect Super to end up on Toonami.

God! Last Week's numbers are INSANE! 1.6 again along with 1 million for every show in the lineup except One Piece and Attack On Titan. I know the rest of the line up isnt Dragon Ball but this just speaks about the mighty prowess of Dragon Ball. No other show has that staying power.

Akame Ga Kill's premiere also garnered the second-highest ratings Toonami has gotten to date. Shame about One Piece though.

Unbelievable!

I have a feeling ROF had something to do with this rating spike. :P

Akame Ga Kill is awesome and good to see Michiko & Hatchin doing well. Both are good shows.

Something, sure, no doubt, but most of it is probably that Family Guy had an extremely good night and as is standard Kai is a few hundred thousand viewers lower than the adventures of Peter Griffin and family.

If you can even call them adventures.

It's really nice to see Kai actually doing well. Owning the series, I haven't bothered to tune in for it since its debut. How many episodes until the battle with Freeza?
Most Dragon Ball fans are incapable of making a logically sound argument.

So then DBZ Kai has surpassed the original Z airings on Toonami? That's awesome. I also heard that it became the highest rated show on Nicktoons surpassing even Avatar the Last Airbender?
