I think Kaioshin means it's just a brawl where they're having fun, instead of a life-or-death situation, and they're not actually trying to destroy everything around them.
While in BoG Beerus said Goku “absorbed” the power due to being a gifted fighter, here Beerus instead says the power “fully merged” with Goku, and he never explicitly says this is something Goku did (so possibly this is simply what’s supposed to happen with SSG power, in contrast to BoG where Goku absorbing the power was due to him being unusual).
I don't think it was changed, it's just that Beerus shouldn't know how a SSG works and what is supposed to happen. Even if it was Goku's doing, how would he know that? It's the first time he met a SSG, after all.

Thanks for the explanation, as always.

So if everyone can sense Goku, but he still has SSJG tier powers, shouldn't they be overwhelmed by what they feel?

I haven't watched the episode. Did Piccolo yell, "I-is this Goku's power? It's unreal!"
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super

Vegeta was probably the only one who realized that as of yet, as he stops Piccolo from getting desperate.
But to be fair, even Beerus took a while to understand what was going on.

Having actually watched the episode, the word Old Kaioshin used to describe the current state of their fight (kenka) is normally used to address a brawl, a quarrel, not something Earth-shattering. It makes sense, as in the 2nd half of this episode, Beerus even starts thinking of Goku as a "friend".

Did they really make Goku Beerus' equal at 100% strength?
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

Exactly. The fansubs that i saw said brawl and it made sense.
I'm loving how they are paying attention to all these details to not create misunderstandings.

I assume they mean the universe is no longer in danger because they're basically sparring at this point, it's no longer a fight for the safety of the universe. Which makes sense but is kinda disappointing.

Isn't it actually weirder since just after Old Kai says that, Beerus and Goku say they are now at 100%? How can you be at 100% but your blows be weaker?

Edit: Oops, it's before. But still.

That is because Old Kai said, "Its just a brawl", meaning right now its just a friendly fight. They are going all out, but in a way that will not destroy the universe. Its the same thing that happened in episode 12.

I understood that, but still it doesn't make any sense. If they are using even more power than before, it should destroy the universe "even more", even if they weren't meaning to.

Let's say for example I am trying to destroy a steel door with a shotgun. And then later I try to leave another similar steel door intact while firing a cannon at it. Impossible, isn't it?

I think it's a misconception? I don't think the destruction was actually caused by them clashing...I mean, it was, but i don't think it's something that was happening just because they were that powerful. It feels pretty obvious that the destruction ripple things were Beerus' fault, probably because he's the Hakaishin and doesn't care about the collateral damage. So, he was just letting how power run rampant. Goku is entirely capable of emitting the same ripples when he attacks, but was only doing so in an attempt to negate the ones from Beerus. Otherwise, Goku was more than happy to keep his power "restrained" and focused on his opponent.

Up until this episode though, Beerus just wanted a good fight. To be able to cut loose a little against a strong opponent. He didn't care who got hurt in the process, and maybe that damage might even push Goku further and make the fight more enjoyable for him. At the same time, he never felt Goku wasn't really worthy of of his full power because he was "just a Saiyan". After everything else to this point though, it's becoming more personal and he's viewing Goku more as a friend. Thus, he's focusing and directing his power solely at Goku/

Maybe? I dunno. Just some thoughts.

Apparently "baka sickness" is a thing now.

You might want to mention it, maybe...?

I agree, that must be in the first post, it made me cringe.

Next episode will have this line: "iya da, you are so baka desu, senpai please notice me, onegai!"

Elder Kaioshn: "Um, about two times tops."
East: "Just two times?!"
Elder: "Oh, wait, maybe three times."
East: "This is important! Can't you be more precise?!"
Elder: "Alright, then...about two and a half times."
Original line for context: じゃあ あのう 2回っちゅうことで

Could you explain this one for me?
I'm almost positive it's ということでってゆうことでっちゅうことで, but I could be mistaken.
Were you thinking of ちゅう and こと, as in "middle" and "thing"?

Also,
Herms wrote:Elder Kaioshin: "[Goku] erased Beerus-sama's attack by slamming his fist against Beerus' at exactly the same speed and angle. He had planned on perfecting [the technique] on the second blow, but of course with Beerus-sama it wasn't so simple."
Red is Goku speaking, not Elder Kaiōshin.

Seriously?! I didn't have any problem with that term.
When you watch too many animes in japanese, you get used to certain terms. "Baka" is one of them. What Beerus meant was obvious anyway.

Of course. It's a translation, you don't leave aimless bits untranslated because some people happen to know a bit of Japanese. It's a stupid line by a bad translator. It's certainly not the worst thing they've done, but it's not great.

You take it to far. I've been watching speedsubs and understand everything. Any detail that I need to clarify, I may come here for curiosity.
But speedsubs don't ruin my enjoyment at all. All the basic stuff makes a point.

The problem with that user is that he apparently didn't know what baka means, thus didn't understand the term. But that's why Google is your best friend:
https://www.google.pt/?gws_rd=ssl#q=what+is+baka

People are too used in asking questions, instead of looking for the answers themselves.

Actually, that user is me. I'm well aware of what it means, but that's irrelevant, it's still just as stupid. A translation should translate.

I am vehemently against speed subs because of nonsense like this: https://twitter.com/AnimeAjay/status/650298281143078912

Making up lines, leaving random words in Japanese? Why? What is the point? A Fact Checker like this wouldn't be necessary if they weren't so dreadful.
