He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

I think Gohan is Mystic in that teaser we just got.

Does anyone know what Goku and Freeza said to each other at the beginning of the new trailer?

I don't think so. He doesn't have that glare and facial expression. Here's a comparison.

The are style is different from before and Toie doesn't pay attention to details like this.

They did this in Movie 13. His facial look slightly changes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRJqaJreWHY. So right now I don't believe that is Ultimate Gohan. He probably just hasn't gone SSJ like the earlier trailer showed. The manga even mentions SSJ so he'll likely use that instead for some stupid reason. If they did ditch the SSJ thing for sure, then great.

Manga mentions Super Saiyan for him. He says "I think I can still turn Super Saiyan." Early trailers also show him going Super Saiyan instead. If they do change this that'd be swell. Only time will tell if they do.

I might be wrong about this, but I believe when Gohan goes Ultimate, his hair is supposed to spike up exactly like a SSJ's does. It's not just him in base mode with subtle facial differences. The features he has are the same as his SSJ form's, only the hair and eye colors do not change. Just so happens that he suffers from Vegeta hair syndrome in that saga, so his hair merely changes color when he goes SSJ since it's already spiked up.

"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super

Yeah it's probably before he went super Saiyan. In the third trailer when he went ssj he had no glasses on , in the new trailer he had the glasses so I'm going with right before he gets serious.

Predictions for the next movie: Gohan will forget how to fly. Piccolo will get beaten up by a Saibaman. Puar will attend the battle while Vegeta is kept at home with Gotenks. Buu will lose his ability to regenerate. Coincidentally, around the same time, Goku and Vegeta will gain the ability to regenerate. The main villain will be a hulking stupid shithead saiyan who was revealed to survive his planet's destruction. He is also Goku's son somehow, and looks just like Goku. People will still praise it as quality entertainment. Anyone who disagrees will be called a whiny complainer/ungrateful git/nitpicker/obsessed fanboy.

I must admit, I'm slightly terrified of the amount (and the type) of activity that will take place here on Monday. I'm expecting it to be like when Kei17 returned from BOG- times 1000. Still, I'm stoked that Julian will be one of the first in the world to see it. All eyes will be on this forum. Good thing it doesn't crash now
sintzu wrote:That 30 second teaser showed just how little we know about this movie.

In terms of Beerus going to earth and getting ready to fight I think it's 1 of 2 things :

1- Vegeta ends up sparing Freeza which leads to Beerus killing him like he wanted.

2- The only thing we know about Freeza's training is that it was for 4 months so maybe he had someone train him and that someone showed himself after Goku lost or while Freeza was losing which lead to Beerus stepping in to even the odds for Vegeta.
I actually think we know a decent amount. I'm fairly certain that they've told us all they can without spoiling everything. I've mentioned this before, but when BOG first came out I thought we hadn't been told that much. I was convinced that they were still concealing a final battle with Whis. Turns out, the reason that I thought we didn't know that much was because there simply wasn't that much to reveal in the first place. Videl's role and the ending were unknown until it came out, but obviously they weren't gonna spoil those. I feel like that will be the case with this movie also. There'll still be a couple of big reveals, but overall I feel like we have a pretty good idea of how the story will play out.

Again, what I think's been really lacking with this movie is just general merchandise. That might actually come in April though.

Oh, and for the record...
EDIT: Looks like they're broadcasting some of the old movies again to tie-in this film's release...I think :P :

Ha ha, love it. New avatar, here I come!

So the screening is at 6:30PM...depending on how long the movie is, the Internet should be overflowing with spoilers by 9:00PM Japan time. For me that means...5:00AM. Ugh. We'll see if the lure of Resurrection F info can rouse me from slumber several hours earlier than my normal wake-up time

Why even have a preview screening, especially this early? It's already going to spoil it for most fans whether they wanted to know the spoilers or not as they'll spread like wildfire but this just means everyone is going to know what happens a few weeks earlier and before it's even officially released.

Same with these chapters which seem to give away the first, I dunno, 20-30 minutes of the movie away. I just don't get the sense in this at all. Why wouldn't they just want it to be a surprise like any regular movie?

On one hand I really want to not read the spoilers this time and actually allow myself to see some new Dragon Ball stuff completely fresh and blind.

But on the other hand, I'd have to cut myself off from the internet between this coming Monday and what will with my luck be August.

Well the listing on Cinema City now details a run-time of 94 minutes....make of that what you will. 120 minutes always seemed like a place-holder, but can we trust this site as a reliable source of information after all that? I can't find a run-time listed anywhere else, which is surprising considering the movie's first screening is in less than a week. We'll just have to wait and see, I guess.
http://cinemacity.co.jp/cinemacity/studio.php?mid=361

By the way, I'm shocked that they haven't unveiled the full theme song for this movie on the radio yet or something. I'm also surprised that they haven't milked Maximum the Hormone's involvement by putting out a movie-themed F single. Sigh, I can't help but look at the BOG news archive and wish this build up could be equally as exciting.
