Pretty obvious this arc has a major influence on Xenoverse.
Black Goku is wearing the same earings as Demigra.

I highly doubt this arc had any influence from Xenoverse. Goku Black's earrings being practically identical to Demigra's earrings aren't enough to discern that. Besides, Demigra earrings are greatly identical to the Potara earrings. And the Potara earnings are greatly similar to that of Zarbon's earrings.

I really hope you're right. My biggest worry about this arc is how much I hope they don't pull in Xenoverse characters. I didn't like Demigra; didn't care for his design or the way his possessed characters looked like Jelly-Vegeta. I did like Towa and Miira, but I still wouldn't want them in Super either.

I'm hoping it's either a general magic earring or a potara earring he's got on.

I will quit this series if at any point during this Future Trunks arc I feel that it will only be Goku and Vegeta doing the fighting. Also if Mai plays a big role compared to others I will also quit because she is a character no one cares about. So I hope that comment is exaggerated.

People overestimate how much effort it'll take to get to goku and vegetas level. Most of their huge power up is getting God ki which can literally be done in 5 minutes with a ritual. Then they'res the fact that gohan goten and both trunks have more potential which means they could get to that level with much less time. Especially if the plot demands it

If Toriyama can make up Super Saiyan God out of nowhere for Goku and Vegeta then he can make up increases in power for other characters. Maybe a God form unique to part Saiyan part Human people and Namekian God for Piccolo, which is so easy to implement that everyone has thought of it. Humans could also easily get a power up.

Wasn't Vegeta at SSJ2 level when Super began? Now he's God level in no time at all.

Yeah the power gap is insanely huge, no doubt about it. But, it doesn't take a lot of time. Honestly everyone in the show should get god ki imo

Agreed. I want video games characters and elements to remain in video games. It just wouldn't sit well with me the idea of Towa, Mira, Demigra, or really anything from Xenoverse, being integrated into a storyline into Super. I would rather have Super come up with their own unique characters and villains and let the idea of Xenoverse or other video games elements develop within their own medium.

I definitely agree. I'm fine with Xenoverse borrowing from Super, but I'm uncomfortable with the idea of Super borrowing from Xenoverse. It would feel too much like an advertisement for the videogames instead of a vehicle to advertise Dragon Ball in general.

I don't think Vegeta will kill him but he's the only one who'll be able to beat him out of Goku's body or defuse them (if that's what's going on).

To be fair the "dark" Goku idea has been done in plenty of fan works too.

I'm gonna make a guess, and say that the Future Trunks wanking is gonna be ridiculous, since he is very popular. Watch him come back, and BECAUSE he's been "training", he's somehow the 3rd strongest now, above Gotenks and Gohan.

Even if we pretend Trunks somehow reached Super Saiyan 3, something that not even Vegeta achieved, he would still be weaker than Gohan who has been training so his Ultimate form should be access again and weaker than a fusion like Gotenks. If anything, the summary seems to suggest that Trunks is not much stronger than he was during Cell Saga. Keep in mind, that saga was the break off point for many characters like Piccolo with only Goku and Vegeta becoming stronger than Perfect Cell and Super Perfect Cell, and even then their power were still somewhat compatible to Super Saiyan 2 Gohan. Trunks will also have no reason to go beyond Super Saiyan 2 since he never fought Buu, as far as we know.

As someone who has read and even written fanfics, most evil Goku fanfics are Goku becoming Kakarot again and trying to destroy the Earth. Another one is ripping off GT and having Baby possess Goku instead of Vegeta, which I don't see as an evil Goku so much as Goku being possess. There haven't really been a story where Goku goes rouge either on his own will, or he was influence by evil without the evil outright possessing him like Baby. Black Goku could be possess, but it doesn't seems like they're using the Kakarot reverts angle, which I think is played out and (rather you liked it or not) goes against Minus where Goku wasn't sent to destroy the Earth.

I hope Trunks becomes a SSjG or goes SSjB because people will just bitch about how he useless against Goku and Vegeta just like people are with Piccolo, Gotenks and Gohan .
