quick response. I am really excited about this, which is funny because I do not really like Kai that much so far.

Ooh, that's another big one for me; Kami being called God instead of Kami as if it was his name. I always hated that they pretend nameless characters have names; Kami, Roshi, Baba, et cetera.

Great. Now every Tom, Dick, and Harry who gets a PM about it's gonna tease us about it without saying anything remotely substantial until it comes out.

This news has something to do with TFS, doesn't it?

No, not even close. THAT much I can say, just wanted to clear that up.

First real clue of the night! I was grasping at straws there, too!

Seriously, though. Your Secret Info Tokusentai needs some cooler poses.

Good. I don't want the dub to be full of fan references (regardless of how good Abridged is). That would be just as bad as all of the changes they made to the original dub.

I know they showed the first few episodes at a convention, but now I'm wondering if some changes might've been made.

Do we hear a Son Goku or two after all? Are they going to do something really irritating like keep Japanese honorifics in?

Damn it, I should not care about Kai this much. As far as I'm concerned, a good dub will be the only decent thing to come from it.

I'm gonna put my God theory in my pocket for now.

Is this BIG NEWS within the first thirteen episodes?

I meant it as some sort of bonus, not as part of the actual dub.

Anywho, now that we know that the news is big, shocking, beyond big and shocking, good, awesome, has nothing to do with TFS, and something that everyone in this community wants I'd say we're still at Square One.

This is getting out of hand.

What could possibly be so over the top awesome that we don't already know about?!

Are we getting Punk'd?!

No way. There's too much hype over this already for it to be nothing. Like I said before, if nothing else, we'll know when the DVDs start arriving in our homes in as little as a couple weeks.

Freeza spelled with two "e's?
Tenshinhan? Kikoho instead of "tri-beam"?

I'm trying to think of things that haven't been guessed yet. :?

Nah, clips from the cons have already shown that it's "Tien Shinhan".

Aww. :(

I'm still hoping for "Son Goku", a correctly-pronounced kaio-ken, and the use of genki-dama instead of spirit bomb.

Really? Wonderful! :3

I have, admittedly, not been following this thread that closely, so that's probably why I missed that news.

I can easily think up lots of would-be-awesome DB-related news (a new Jump Tour Special, a new 2-D animated movie from Toei) but nothing directly related to Kai's dub. ^^;
Ah well, we'll all find out next month what it is.

I'm still sticking with Kaio's voice being altered.

I wanna be wrong, too! Very wrong!

Uhhh... Ryo Horikawa plays Vegeta in the dub! That's my guess!

Perhaps the entire Japanese cast voices the English dub!
