This game gives me an idea of Battle Robot Damashii X Tenkaichi Tag Team X Zenkai Battle Royale, like a mix of the three in one.Super Saiyajin Luffy wrote:Here is a screencap from the end of the teaser:

ARTDINK is developing the game and Ryuji Nishida is part of the soundteam.

I never played any of these ARTDINK games, though, so I cannot comment on them...

I actually would love if we were able to change the control of the characters mid-fight, it'd add more strategy to the game.

In one of the images of the Oozaru Vegeta Boss Battle:

There's a Saibaman off to the side, there. So the giant bosses might have a couple minions helping them out, which would add a bit more to the fight.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. People were asking for a "Raging Blast 3", and I'm pretty sure that's what UT was. Even though it had a different title, it was a spiritual successor done by the same company, with the same models, the year after RB2. I guess an argument could be made that the gameplay was different enough to not be RB2, though. But I'd definitely say RB could be considered "Tenkaichi 4".DBZ Mick wrote:I thought the Raging Blast games are the successors to those?I still want a true HD tenkaichi sequel or a tenkaichi 3 in HD

1-8 player online?
Well given that two people are needed to duke it out can we take this as confirmation of a new online challenge mode with leaderboards? Like point based challenges where we do things such as fighting the whole Ginyu Force at once?
The games looks very interesting, you can tell it borrows a lot from Zenkai. I'm interested in the roster, the inclusion of Freeza Soldier would imply a larger roster but I do wonder if characters such as him are in purely for the large scale battles and the roster wont actually be large.
That being said, I don't mind a smaller roster as Artdink are new to this and it is their first game, assuming most work went on the engine.
One last thought is whether Ozaru will be playable in offline mode. They may be playable online as well if Artdink have managed to balance them properly.

In an age where we pretty much know all there is to know about the dragonball story line, and have experienced the recreation or transition to video games. dozens of times...well why **** not at this point. Screw being faithful to the story, i have dozens of Z games that already do that. Bring on the saibaman

I'm just glad we made it out of the Spike cycle. I see Saibaiman and Freeza soldier which isn't a good sign though. I hope they don't bloat the roster and give a unique style to each character like ZBR and SDBZ.

Well the fact that Spike isn't working on this is a big plus for me. Bringing in someone new who hasn't worked on a Dragonball game is what we needed, and the way this game is shaping up, it really shows. The style is nice but not exactly what I wanted. Still I can dig it, and I like Krillin's expression in the video. It's a good sign of things to come with facial animations and so forth. The combat seems interesting; though I'm bummed I can't play couch co-op with my girlfriend(COME ON!). Oh well, if the game is good, I can overlook it. So far, I have high hopes for this game.

Re: "DBZ: Battle of Z" (360/PS3/Vita) On-Going Discussion Th
To be fair, split-screen in this game would be awfully confusing.

Also I remember rumblings that the boxart posted may not be official.
SaiyanIsland never provide sources because they prefer to have the traffic to their site.
They ripped everything from the Namco site, here it is:

Seems like devs at ArtDink are using Spike assets for this.

Yeah I get a Spikeish vibe from this too.mysticboy wrote:Seems like devs at ArtDink are using Spike assets for this.
I think there'll be minor changes in the story similar to Budokai 2, so we might be seeing things like the "Saiba Rangers" and Majin Freeza and Cell come back.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

I hope they fix the faces on the models. The models themselves look fine but their faces leave something to be desired.

I can't find the huge SSjGod Goku picture, though. That one looked great. Is it in the wallpaper section or something?Jaruka wrote:Also I remember rumblings that the boxart posted may not be official.

Not necessarily. It wouldn't be the first time that they changed it closer to the release date. I do like that image, though.dbboxkaifan wrote:So seems like Super Saiyan God Goku is the final boxart for the retail version.

Re: "DBZ: Battle of Z" (360/PS3/Vita) On-Going Discussion Th
My thoughts so far:
Both surprised and impressed we've finally escaped Spike, think it's neat that ssjg Goku gets to be on the box art, character models are ok--but don't impress me that much. Overall, atm I think I might just be too tired of replaying the same story, which I guess it's why I haven't bought one since Burst Limit, so I can't say I'm excited to see this altered only for four person play edition, I guess that could change though.
I am interested in how they'll translate ssjg and what his move set will be.

I'm actually very fond on the boxart, I thought Ultimate Tenkaichi had a brilliant one as well.dbboxkaifan wrote: So seems like Super Saiyan God Goku is the final boxart for the retail version. Count me in!

I wonder if we get a PSN version whether we would be able to use Gaikai to stream in on the PS4 in 2014.
They ripped it from the source of the Japanese page, I believe. It's just awkward because they don't post sources.Rukura wrote: I can't find the huge SSjGod Goku picture, though. That one looked great. Is it in the wallpaper section or something?

Re: "DBZ: Battle of Z" (360/PS3/Vita) On-Going Discussion Th
I would imagine he is gonna pack a unique rush move, Limit-Break Kamehameha(ultimate), and Super Explosive Wave as his main attack methods. His 2 others will probably be Afterimage Strike and Instant Transmission.

From the Ultimate Tenkaichi boxart it was almost flawless, although I hated the spine because it wasn't consistent with the other games of DBZ spines.
Fingers crossed they get the spine right on this game.
