Super Saiyan 1 is the promo for everything DBZ because it's the most memorable SSJ form, even though SSJ2 is the most efficient form and SSJ3 is the most powerful.MasterVampire wrote:Strange rabbit type guy that Goku is fighting.
But it can't be all that tough of a fight if he is only at Super Saiyan 1.

That's how I feel. That, or they just didn't care.Michsi wrote: Gohan being SSj only bothers me because it might show that the makers of this movie didn't do their homework properly. If if we get an explanation as to why he no longer is mytic or whatever it's called, I'm fine with it.
And I'm being more pessimistic about it because I doubt we're going to get an explanation, even if they're aware of the inconsistency.

Yeah, that Gohan thing is really gonna bother me unless they have an explanation. I love the way the villains look, thought. Maybe this could be about the Makaio and Makioshin?

Perhaps Goku & the gang enter the Tobal Number 1 Tournament? That bunny guy reminds me of Emperor Udan.

The Super Saiyan Gohan thing doesn't bother me at all. If you go with the idea that he doesn't train as much as he should to stay in shape, then naturally he'd get weaker over time and transforming would give him a necessary boost. I'm in the camp that he was always able to transform. The way I saw it, the Elder Kai Unlock thingy was just bringing all of Gohan's potential out in his most convenient form; his base form. That way, he has full access to his power without any fatigue. He could still transform, but it would just burn through his ki faster and essentially waste it. Transforming into a Super Saiyan, while dealing with ki, is part of his blood and race. I can't understand how Elder Kai would remove that part of his genetic makeup & replace it with the Mystic form.
I like Trunks' hair. At this age, Trunks parts his hair more over to the left, but there he looks like he has it parted at the middle and kind of looks like Future Trunks.

I wonder who the character behind Goten is. Kinda reminds me of what Goten looked like after the Boo arc, before GT, but that's obviously not him, since Goten's in the picture shown much younger.kei17 wrote:I retouched the image.

The being floating is a woman. The staff makes her look like a magic user. And she's pink. Maybe some kind of Majin?
I have to say that they at least tuned down the shiny plastic skin. Thank god for that.

I don't think these guys are Makaioshin, I get the feeling those would look more like Shinians than real-life Gods.

Maybe the party is the reception from Gohan and Videl's wedding?
As per SSj Gohan, it would be entirely plausible that the Mystic power up was only temporary, and dissipated after a while. While I don't really subscribe to this theory, I would find it to be an acceptable one as a means of rationalizing this movie, as well as GT (assuming they don't explain it themselves).

The magic wearing off explanation would still annoy me because it was never hinted at during the manga, so even if the movie does explain it that way I wouldn't be terribly happy about it. Better than leaving it unexplained, though.

Doesn't Gohan still have his ultimate hairstyle and eyes 10 years after the Buu saga? I don't think it wears off.
Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!
Gohan having somehow lost his ultimate power and regaining it might be a plot point. I know this idea has already been done in the Buu saga, but movies rehashing parts parts from the manga isn't anything new, especially when it comes to DB. I am really hoping they won't do that too much.
Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!
The answer that would make me most happy would be that the villains neutralized it with magic to stop him being too much of a threat to them.

His hair in that arc is ridiculously ambiguous, regardless of his form.Storm101 wrote:Doesn't Gohan still have his ultimate hairstyle and eyes 10 years after the Buu saga? I don't think it wears off.

Interesting, that image appears to be a movie poster. Seems like it is leaning up against a white painted wall, sitting on a hardwood floor.
I'm not too sure about the "Purple rabbit." It appears to me like it's a Purple Sphynx.

Not his eyes though. They're clearly still his ultimate form "closed outline" eyes.Zephyr wrote:His hair in that arc is ridiculously ambiguous, regardless of his form.Storm101 wrote:Doesn't Gohan still have his ultimate hairstyle and eyes 10 years after the Buu saga? I don't think it wears off.

Whoever this rabbit/cat/Egyptian god is, it's obviously Pilaf who unleashed it.
