I was really hoping they'd clear up the "exactly when it takes place".

I'm hopeful FUNi will announce a simulcast/broadcast dub for this soon. It's simply too big a deal for them to do nothing with, I know a broadcast dub would be challenging, but if there was any license FUNi would push the boat out for, it is Dragon Ball.

I'm sure Funimation will bring Super to us as soon as they feasibly can.
That said, I'm not sure that will be quickly. Time will tell.

These two articles appeared in my Google news feed this morning claiming Super will be 100-200 episodes long and have a manga adaption:

http://www.designntrend.com/articles/50 ... essful.htm

Still no confirmation from TOEI.

As if the 100-200 episode part wasn't enough, they even claim it's gonna get a manga?

If it brings in the $$$ they want and Toriyama is willing to keep writing it then of course it's going to reaches these numbers however I don't think Toie will announce how many episodes they're planning in case for some reason it doesn't do well and they end up cancelling it.

In terms of a manga I don't think it'll happen but that's what we used to say about Toriyama coming back to the franchise or it getting a new ongoing series so anything can happen however I think it'll be drawn by someone else like what they did with FNF's 3 chapters.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Regarding the sequel, many fans are speculating that Broly may make his return with a massive power-up. Enter God-Broly?

This wouldn't be a bad idea as both Goku and Vegeta have attained Super Saiyan God forms and Broly has been shown in the past overwhelming both of them, so he would be a formidable villain.
Yeah, I wouldn't trust an article that verges on parody.

Anyone feels a little underhyped if this turn out to be after RoF instead of EoZ? What we could possibly see after RoF?

"Oh! Goku & Vegeta go in a trip with Beerus and Whis around the other universes, how fun!" (Goku & Vegeta show, lame)

"Another villain from nowhere comes to Earth, Goku & Vegeta battle him and Gohan, Piccolo and humans fight minions" (just to pretend that they aren't useless lol)

I mean with this taking place after EoZ we could have so many possibilities! With a new Pan, Uub, Teen Goten and Trunks!

F*ck! We need this!

Many series go on forever and the characters never age... Take One Piece, for example, they are getting close to 700 episodes and the cast doesn't look like they've aged at all.
What? How all the Boo Arc takes place within 24 hours? It can't be!

There is a lot they could do... The Z fighters could join the Galactic Patrol, (think Green Lantern or Guardians of the Galaxy with Jaco and the Z fighters) and Goku and Vegeta could go off to train for a multiverse martial arts tournament.

I'd say it all happens within 10 hours or less.

When you watch it you'll notice everything happens within the same time frame.

Look up the Dragon Ball timeline, Goku was only given one day to return back to Earth.

The article isn't wrong,if you look up youtube videos and their comment sections you'll see that bringing back Broly has been a big demand ever since it was announced that there was going to be a villain coming back for the 2nd movie and unfortunately it still is.

I think it doesn't. I recall some moments where it were stated things such "One day after", "X hours later". Not to mention Piccolo teaching the Metamoru fusion to Son Goten and Trunks, they didn't learn it in one day, when Vegeta put them to sleep, they didn't sleep for one day as well.

Clickbait garbage with no journalism skills whatsoever. They're just parroting nonsense they found among fan comments. They provide no source for these supposed comments from Toei, and can't even decide what gender Masako Nozawa is.

I think it takes place over the course of two days?

Looks like the misinformation and false rumours have started! I wish TOEI would release something soon, I have already had a few people send me that terrible fan pic that was making the rounds. :problem:

how can Broly come back when the new films and series are canon to the manga and Broly isn't canon, was never in the manga nor can he fit in the canon manga or anime

the only way Broly can be in is if his character was rebooted and he was given a new back story

but I hope he doesn't because to be fair Broly isn't a very good character, he's a one trick pony, shout KAKAROTTO!, power up, go nuts then get destroyed by a Kame Hame Ha
