This tournament has made me realise how few fighters we actually have. I mean, there's always the humans, but they're so weak by comparison that you'd need to jump through a lot of hoops to justify their inclusion (like RoF did).

If we're ignoring Gohan because they seem to want to retire him, the only options were Piccolo, Buu, Gotenks and 18. You could only have one out of Buu and Gotenks, otherwise it'd start getting too goofy. And 18 hasn't done anything since the 25th Budokai. Now I'm surprised by how limited the options were.

Its not like all the U6 fighters have to be super powerful. Why can't some of Champa's fighters be of similar strength to Krillin and the other humans?

That's true, but it would make no sense if Team Beerus isn't picking their strongest fighters. The fate of their planet is at stake here! You don't just choose the much weaker humans to fight because they're more enthusiastic about it.

I think Toriyama will hit that road. Team Beerus wins very easily but that one fighter (the last one) in team champa will beat all 5 of them or all 4 and the last one will give him a run for his money.

I think Toriyama will hit that road. Team Beerus wins very easily but that one fighter (the last one) in team champa will beat all 5 of them or all 4 and the last one will give him a run for his money.

It's probably a "beat 'em up" tournament, kind of like the Uranai Baba tournament. The weakest fight first, whoever wins fights the second, then the third, until he loses, then another one takes his place, etc.

I expect Majin Buu and maybe Piccolo to lose their fights. Its obvious not everyone is going to win.

Buu is probably going to do something wrong or get frustrated in the middle of the match and get blown to bits or get disqualified for some reason. I can also see Piccolo simply being overpowered with whoever he fights against.

On another note, about the written test, I think it's because Vegeta doesn't want anything to happen that would anger the Gods of destruction, and in that sense doesn't exactly trust Buu.

Well same for beerus,it makes you wounder if buu is immune because he never has trained,existed for so long. I think some lose power and some they don't care to mention,like they wont weaken beerus because they wanna milk him and nerf everyone else just to keep him relevant.

Buu has never trained he is just a goofy and powerful bubblegum demon that has a very high base power lvl or maybe eating keep him strong or something

Boo's not normal, he's magic. He doesn't subscribe to the same limitations, restrictions and rules as normal people do.

Reactions to Chapter 5 in real time as I read it:

- Did Champa just kick a planet and cause it to explode or was that his ki blasts?

- I LOOVE how Beerus actually tried saving that planet. I like seeing that Beerus has a good side to him too as it makes him more than just a villain or a grumpy cat. Definitely the highlight of the chapter.

- Bulma looks really attractive in her new outift when she's showing off her new radar for the first time. Is it weird that I find her hotter the older she gets?

- OMG Tights!!! I'm loving this chapter so far.

- Just lol at Piccolo's reaction when Goku and Vegeta admit why they love their women. Classic moment already.

- I am disappointed that U6 is going to have Saiyans. Having Piccolo and Buu as combatants was a good choice in my opinion 'cuz the Saiyans are overpowered already with the SSJ transformations, zenkais, high potential, durability and SSJG modes. It would be neat to see other races from U6 match the Saiyans and show that other races can get that strong too.

Overall I loved this chapter it easily gets a 10/10 from me. I just hope the anime does this arc justice

It comes out monthly in V-Jump, a monthly magazine. The text used to leak on the 16th or 17th, but it might be leaking a few days later from now on for some reasons.

Also, was the "big news" the new Dragon Ball history book? That's kinda lame. At least it's new material and has an Akira Toriyama interview, which is always a plus.

This is easily my favorite Dragon Ball chapter ever. I can't wait for this new arc.

LoL Those are pretty much the same thoughts I had. And yes I'm pretty sure he destroyed two planets with a kick and a punch. Bulma is always hot except for GT, but Toyotaro seems to draw her especially lovely!!
