Don't be ashamed. That can be considered a good thing.SHINOBI-03 wrote: The face was no problem, but his body was difficult since I'm not used to draw shirtless little boys.

That's what I told my sister. Vegeta is freaking Robin.Big Momma wrote:The style reminds me of the Teen Titans cartoon
Those images are BEAUTIFUL. Real life-like.Teclo wrote:Not mine, of course, but these show how a DBZ live-action movie could use the Toriyama designs and still look great. I particularly love how they made Pilaf look "realistic" and threatening without dramatically altering his design, how King Piccolo looks ancient and wise and, most of all, Freeza's monumentally smug smirk.
And, by the same artist, as if that needs to be pointed out...
Apologies if they've already been posted.
Edit
Damn it, I just re-read the first post and saw that it says "if you created it..." Well I'll leave it here for now but if anyone thinks it ruins the spirit of the thread, I'll remove it. It's just so good, I had to share it.
Teclo wrote:The point is that they've been take to a realistic level and still work. The idea that a straight rendition of the designs wouldn't work if they're made to look realistic is obviously incorrect; Piccolo does not look like "a little green man" and Buu can still look threatening despite being a fat pink man.

Like when his eyes are half opened with the grin on his face before he punched Dabra's eyes?mattymoron wrote:Well, I mean, it's pretty clear that his standard appearance wasn't supposed to be, but there were times when Fat Buu looked pretty mean. Like, just before he killed Babidi.

Ehh, ever watched movies derived from comic-books? Some of them are really accurate in character design.Rocketman wrote:No they don't. These are fixed images. Anything can be drawn, that doesn't mean it'll translate well into reality.Teclo wrote:Not mine, of course, but these show how a DBZ live-action movie could use the Toriyama designs and still look great.
I've watched a lot of movies based on comic books. Most of them don't keep all the original designs.Godo wrote:Ehh, ever watched movies derived from comic-books? Some of them are really accurate in character design.
From what I see, we are in that movie-era where design is not an issue.
FOX were just lazy in special effects and costumes.
Not to mention (I'm going to hate myself for saying this) Goku's fighting gi in Dragonball Evolution. As much as it was a shity movie, I had to admit that the redesign for Goku gi looked a lot better on screen than the original costume.Rocketman wrote:I've watched a lot of movies based on comic books. Blackheart and Mephisto in Ghost Rider; Green Goblin I and II and Doctor Octopus in the Spider-Man series; Juggernaut (and all the heroes and villains, really) in the X-Men series; Iron Monger in Iron Man; the Abomination in The Incredible Hulk....

Is there any way I can see more pictures from this artist?

I've posted his art before. I've also made avatars out of the images with the Dragon Ball villians and the Ginyu Tokusentai.Hellspawn28 wrote:I seen those live action images before, their awesome looking IMO. I seen ones with the Ginyu force done in that art look before. The Gero one looks awesome too.
