In this new movie as far as Freeza’s concerned, you could say he “loses the battle, but wins the war”.

Foreshadowing. I'm loving how this Toriyama is planning things ahead.

I think earth blowing up in the last trailer is what he means which might be the after credits scene.

This comment shows that Toriyama is in for the long run and I can't wait to see what he's got planned.

I have a feeling Beerus and Whis are going to let events unfold without intervening for the most part. They seem like the kind of guys that would say "if you can't defeat Freeza and save earth, that's your own damn fault."

Freeza’s definitely a man who’s grown strong as he’s tried to compensate for his handicaps, in particular his complex towards his father.

I don't know if it's a waste. Freeza would just react "Son Goku & that young Super Saiyan?! No, you look way too young to be them.", and then he would either leave them fight his soldiers like he did with Gohan, Piccolo, etc, or he would kill them because they look like the Super Saiyans that he despises.

Why would he destroy earth ?

If he was going to have that big of a role then he would be standing alongside Goku in the movie's poster instead of Vegeta.

I think it's either :

1- When Goku loses he tries to step in only to be asked not to by Vegeta to which he agrees.

2- Freeza's ace in the hole arrives after he loses which leads to Beerus stepping in cause both Goku&Vegeta are in no shape to fight.

Main page confirms the movie at being 93 minutes. Not too bad, maybe there will be another extended edition.

3 hours is far too long for any type of movie. Waaaay to much. The highest I can see is 2 hr and 15 minutes

If there is an extended cut it probably won't last longer than 105 minutes total. None of the Fuji TV Saturday Night Premium broadcasts have exceeded 107-ish minutes.

I love Dragon Ball, but I don't think a 180 minute DB movie would retain my attention.

A 180 minute movie is unrealistic. What would be cool is if they did a two part movie like what Marvel are going to be doing with Avengers Infinity War.
