Any idea why they would choose to use the old outfits suddenly? They never went backward in Z on them.

I imagine it is purely to sell new merchandise, given Bandai is the one pumping the money into this series. There's always the off-chance that Hatano just wanted to give it a shot, though.

Don't know if anyone has thought up of this theory. So while watching Dragon Ball Super Episode 42 the narrator was recapping the events of the previous episode. Stating how Beerus used the Super Dragon Balls to wish back the Earth In Universe 6. This is where it gets interesting.
Now imagine as a direct consequence of this action anyone who was on the planet was resurrected, and in doing so affected the future time line also. So Black Goku may indeed come from Universe 6 from the newly restored Earth. In the future somehow he travels to Universe 7 and starts to terrorise Trunks. The action of resurrecting the earth may not have had immediate consequences but the change may have affected the future time line.
Now I know that wishes made with the Earth or Namekian Dragon Balls in one time line have no affect on another time line. Maybe because the wish was granted by the Super Dragon Balls it actually altered the time line thus affecting Future Trunks.

But whatever happens in the current timeline will not affect the future as proven before unless the super dragon balls are an exception and mayne that is what Toriyama meant by a complicated story.

Do we think that each time the timeline splits, we get new timelines containing 12 universes each (even if the changes only affect one universe) or there are 12 universes, each with multiple timelines?

I suppose either way, if the super dragon balls are truly limitless, they may grant the wish in every timeline, even if it isn't possible to move from standard-timeline Universe 6 to Future-trunks-timeline Universe 7.

Unless Universe 6 has its own problem with time travelers and the resulting timelines line up perfectly or whatever, we'd have at least 3-4 versions of Beerus and presumably only 1 Champa, who should be going to the timeline Future Trunks or Cell traveled from instead of ours (depending on how you try to explain the specifics of DB time travel).

Why would a evil Goku (saiyan) kill people? The evil saiyans we know (Nappa, Raditz and Vegeta) didn't kill randomly people for fun. They had some kind of interest. To be true Nappa was kind of a dick. Killing people to show of his power.

So what is Evil goku's motive to kill trunks and the rest of the people? It can't be just because he is evil.

5 was an exception. In box 2 nothing has been changed.

Wasn't there a guidebook (maybe Chouzenshuu) saying that one Universe consisted of every timeline and parallel dimension inside it? This way they could justify Dragon Ball, Dr. Slump, Neko Majin and Trunks' world all nietly existing on their own.

The first Chozenshuu volume phrased things as such to imply anything Dragon Ball related all somehow occurred within Universe 7.

The relevant Universe 6 material and whatever Universe # is to be involved with the Goku Black material being obvious exceptions, as they were not released at that point.

It's Videl in the Boo arc who tells Gohan that "these days" having a surname is pretty rare, hence her ability to deduce that Gohan must be related to that "Son Goku" fellow who won the tournament.

Toriyama backs this up in the SEG, explaining that Videl and Mr. Satan have no surname (it not being the custom "where they live"), and that therefore Mr. Satan's real name is simply "Mark" and nothing else.

Yeah, i was gonna mention that example, but i'm just too lazy.

Early NewType issues are out there, it's just none of the DB fans have gotten a hold of a copy yet. (For that matter, none of the fans of One Piece or Precure either.) It's also close to 5am in Japan right now. If someone gets a copy today it won't be until probably after schools and work let out (unless sometime grabs a copy on their lunch break).

#5 was the only episode in which the terrible management by Toei actually created an unforgivable mess, so they had to fix it. Fixing bad frames in other episodes is totally not the priority.

I disagree. I think episode 25 was worse.
