Well in the manga, the only references are those mentioned in my post above; the only 'conclusive' statement is the Dragonball Forever book, and if you don't consider that canon, cool :) Yamcha is only a womaniser if certain things are taken into account; I have little knowledge of the anime version of these events, for example, so to me he's not the COMPLETE ass some people seem to think he is ^^'... to each his own, I guess...as with everything else in DragonBall.

It is sort of a cartoon for kids.

I don't think we can assume Future Bulma is lying or things are different. In this show, things are more or less meant to be taken at face value.

*eyebrow raise* Can't say I've ever spelled it that way. And I still don't see anything.

Roshi gave us background stories for the Dragonballs that weren't true, Son gave us an age that wasn't true, and I'm still not buying 'womanizer' out of occasionally looking at women who're chasing him. AU is AU.

I've asked you several times to start putting some type of actual content and context into your posts. I'm not going to continue.

Why are you making it seem as though Yamcha never chases women? You sound like a mother trying to protect her son's image as a good person.

Roshi's story was filler that got contradicted. It was true enough when it was made, because there was nothing to contradict it. When it was written, it was the only explanation available and it wasn't MEANT to be a lie. Further, Goku's age was only a lie because we heard later that it wasn't. I can say a lot of things are true that aren't expressly said. But, especially if it contradics what was expressly said, it's just fanon.

I think his post has as much content as yours, Mr. EX. JAPPO says who cares if a minor typo showed up, there isn't any discussion or content going on when everyone jumps down Velasa's throat about a spelling gaffe.

I guess the difference between the two is that EX is the forum mod, and as such, gets to....you know, moderate posts ^^;

Because the guy's gotten bashed through the wall for the last decade by rabid B/Vers and I didn't expect to encounter that kind of attitude on an intelligent board. I get a little tired of it after a while.

I doubt either of us is going to change our minds, so we should agree to disagree and get back to talking about the movie when more info on it comes out.

I can see that point as valid. But also, the content was the same as everyone jumping down Velasa's throat about spelling. EX takes care of making sure excessive spelling problems are taken care of, and small things that can be explained by a simple typo really aren't something to go and just run to point and laugh at. Which, apparently, a bunch of the community thought necessary.

Yeah, I see your point also. To be honest though, when JAPPO said 'who cares' I thought he meant 'who cares about what you guys are talking about, talk about the movie'. Which I should be doing instead of posting this, I guess :oops:

There was like a half of page of arguing about a minor spelling error. :roll:

To join in on the Yamcha womanizer discussion: Even the Shonen Jump anime tour site calls him a playboy.

It's like Frodo's sword, but with Dragonballs.
