I don't know, but it seems that Tori/Toyo are taking a shot at Superman and are trying to incorporate a character of this kind to the main series.Maybe they've watched ScrewAttack's Goku vs Superman and want to make a rebellion?sintzu wrote:So he's how Superman would be if he was a badass ? that sounds good. Yeah. People really want in-depth personalities all the time but it can’t happen all the time. They want someone like Jiren to go through 100 chapters/episodes (or so) of personality changes in a single arc, let alone a tournamentHeroR wrote:Really. The manga didn't focus on it, they had it because it was the basic premise of the arc, Toyotarõ quickly had Whis spill the beans.Meshack wrote:If you read the manga and forget about what the anime did, there’s still the mystery of “who is Gokuh-Black?” The manga just does it better than the anime versionLightBing wrote:Toyotarõ isn't going with the Jiren mystery route. The anime built on it and feed it, which they could because holding on to a mystery only works if it's indeed a mystery.

As part of a group of super heroes, Jiren not want to save people would be odd. It's just in the anime Jiren comes off as an arrogant prick.pacz360 wrote:I dont understand the comparison between the two characters jiren wanting to save civilians is something like thor, Captain America, spiderman, flash, batman, etc would do its not exclusive to supesMyNiggaGoku wrote:I don't know, but it seems that Tori/Toyo are taking a shot at Superman and are trying to incorporate a character of this kind to the main series.Maybe they've watched ScrewAttack's Goku vs Superman and want to make a rebellion?sintzu wrote:

Seems like Jiren can even be likeable in the manga. I hope we get to learn more about his personality.
Anyone knows if everybody is recluited in this chapter (except Frieza of course)

Then they can just transform into God and use Vegeta's staregy if they need Blue. Hell he even does this in DBS itself, when he fought Ribrianne, he went Blue to one shot her when Base wasn't enough
And Caulifla, he went to GoD when he couldn't do the job with his SS

But the thing is, God and Blue aren’t always needed. For some like Jiren, Toppo, Dyspo, Hit, Golden Freeza, and Potara Zamasu, God and Blue are needed. Black could have been beaten as a Super Saiyan or even a Super Saiyan 2. Using God or Blue to defeat him would have been very unnecessary. Vegeta only transformed into Blue because he wanted to his if he could do it also. When he found out, Vegeta was ready to defeat Black but Zamasu appeared. They could have done it but why? Why overkill someone? Why waste stamina on someone that doesn’t need it?MisteryOne wrote:Seems like Jiren can even be likeable in the manga. I hope we get to learn more about his personality.

I just want to note that Beerus and Champa fighting in space was in the manga, yet the anime never showed any God of Destruction able to survived in space without their angel making a bubble for them.Hawk9211 wrote:The only one I can think is beerus vs. champa but that was hardly a battle.Meshack wrote:What was the first battle in space?Jigurashi wrote: I want enough of them to where we can at least have another battle in space.

I don't know why either. I get people finding him boring but no personality? The U6 Namekians are more appropriate examples of characters with no personality.HeroR wrote:Really. Well sort of a battle in space with Goku VS Beerus but that was really within the Earth's atmosphere I believe.Meshack wrote:What was the first battle in space?Jigurashi wrote:I want enough of them to where we can at least have another battle in space.Meshack wrote: Yeah. Given how fast Beerus is, he could have blintz his way to the planet before he ran out of air.Hawk9211 wrote:Did not beerus traveled without whis when he went for dinosaur's meat ?HeroR wrote:I just want to note that Beerus and Champa fighting in space was in the manga, yet the anime never showed any God of Destruction able to survived in space without their angel making a bubble for them.Hawk9211 wrote: The only one I can think is beerus vs. champa but that was hardly a battle.
You can't 'breathe' in space and if Beerus and Champa were talking, they weren't in a vacuum. That is one of the few laws of physics that Dragon Ball has stuck to.pacz360 wrote: Beerus and champa was shown breathing in space in ROF.
