The only ways it really affects me are I really like spoilers so I'm sad there won't be any and I like to know who the writers are ahead of time and I'm sad I won't know that. I'm hoping that having picked up on tells each of the four of them use that I'll be able to pick out the writer without knowing who. (Ryu tends to get important event episodes, Fukushima is usually filler and has the sweeter-than-typical Gokû, Toshio is VegeBul, and Koyama doesn't really have a tell since he hasn't written enough to stand out and so he stands out by not standing out.)

I am predicting that #47 is written by king ryu. It looks to have a lot of stuff in it.

Although i'm pretty sure i saw the little head of kid Goten standing next to Chi-chi in the preview. Well, not that they couldn't do a timeskip later.

I took the statement as Trunks growing as a character, not necessarily him getting taller.

It looks King Ryu. The most recent one he did was the "Gokû temporarily loses ki control and feels sad." He seems the most likely for them to give an episode this intense to.

It certainly could be the case, it's Kusao's reaction about giving the game away (and growing up "bit by bit") that makes me thinking it could be both.
And maybe i can't take kid Trunks (as he is now) seriously enough to expect character development at this point, unless he grows up a little bit in the literal sense too.

-"I’ll only say one thing about the end of the new chapter’s first episode, but this should say it all: it’s enough to make you go “there’s no way they can win…” (laughs)."

This makes me hope we see future-Beerus teleport in and get torn in two or something crazy. No matter how bad he whoops future trunks I don't think it would seem hopeless.

However, I did catch one little tidbit if you'd like to hear it. Basically, the tidbit is that even Kusao has no idea what Future Mai's "massive role" in the Black saga is going to be.

Close, but not exactly: he says that, though they're comrades who fight together, it's still not clear why they're together. Elsewhere in the interview he makes it clear that he's not been filled in on the long-term story and has to take it episode by episode, so apparently Mai's history with Trunks isn't explained in episode 47.

He also says episode 47 won't make Trunks smile, and apparently it's jam-packed with stuff, with something major happening at the very end. He says Goku Black is super-evil and scary.

Oh, hey there, Herms. Thanks for replying and clearing that up for me. Personally, I don't mind them not explaining what role F. Mai is playing in this arc overall so soon. If they're trying to ease into that aspect, it's fine with me. Still though, I do hope that F. Mai's...history(?) with F. Trunks DOES get explained in the near future. IMO, it would feel a bit.."off" if they don't explain ANYTHING about it within the next...2-3 episodes. Also, I also saw that little tidbit as well: The one where Kusao explains that even HE doesn't really know about the overall story of the Black Saga in the long run.

BTW, it almost feels a bit...depressing to hear that F. Trunks essentially won't even crack a smile for the majority of ep. 47. Man, whatever the poor guy was crying about in the NEP for ep. 47, must have REALLY caused an impact...I also read about how Goku Black is going to be super-evil and just downright terrifying, no less in part due to Nozawa's supposedly imposing performance as him, and the very fact that Kusao even says that the ending to ep. 47 will even have viewers thinking, "Seriously, just HOW are Goku and the Dragon Team going to come out on top THIS time? Heck, WILL they even come out on top this time?" I mean with Goku AND Vegeta being gods in the Saiyan/mortal sense, combined with Beerus AND WHIS being the Dragon Team's trump card if everything else fails? Black does NOT sound like someone I'd want to mess with...

I'm telling you all, this feels to me like it's going to be "Androids/Cell saga levels" of dark and mystery combined with the imposing threat that Majin Buu posed to the universe.

I'm also wondering about that now. Fodderizing Trunks really would be just "eh, we've been there" and not that imposing - also, we know Trunks is returning to the past, so it probably isn't something that affects him directly. What could it be, then? I don't know what to expect.

I'd honestly prefer if they toned down Beerus's involvement in this arc. I know Toriyama's comments mentioned him, but I feel like we've had a bit too much of his character since Super started. Even in RF, him and Whis practically hijacked the entire story. I'd rather that wasn't the case AGAIN.

I think it's regular Xeno Goku for Super DB Heroes only. Or just an outfit swap for the game I'm guessing.

Black Whis I can see. Black Beerus, never. There would be a coup before the day ends. It's the same reason I can't see a Black Vegeta taking orders from Black Goku, although I would like to see that.
