I had way more spare time when BOG was coming out. I'm gonna be stuck on phone blackout for most of the morning, unfortunately. Why I'm hoping spoilers appear before 8:30.
This is actually a very busy week rl-wise for me. Spare time is a goner on Tuesday and Wednesday. Won't start to get some of it back till Thursday. Tomorrow isn't quite as tricky, but to dedicate time to F spoilers I may have to put off other internet Monday stuff until Thursday or Friday. Sailor Moon Mondays on Thursday or Friday, most likely.

Pretty sure they were talking about Battle of Gods and his scene with Beerus humiliating him. The limited edition at least (I don't own any others to check) had character sheets for almost everyone in the film, though the king and prince from that flashback weren't included.Big Momma wrote:I don't recall seeing him in any trailers or promotional material.
Regardless, as Ajay said, if he's in the film then he has one. It's just not been released publicly so you won't be able to see it.
They likely did have sheets as well, just like Trunks does here. No idea why they weren't included though.

Can't really say I am. It's better to have low expectations and be surprised than have high expectations and run the risk of disappointing yourself.Lord Beerus wrote:Jumping the gun aren't we?

This way you'll get at least 1 day of free time.(if you don't die of course)
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

How are you guys on BoG? No one even mentioned it. We were talking about Trunks' character sheet for FnF and him being in a Flashback for this film.

My expectations are so high for Vegeta defeating Freeza that if it doesn't happen I'll probably hate the movie for awhile.Doctor. wrote:It's better to have low expectations and be surprised than have high expectations and run the risk of disappointing yourself.

You may as well get ready for that then. Toriyama won't write anything that doesn't play into established status-quo and his own retroactive vision of what DB "should be".sintzu wrote:My expectations are so high for Vegeta defeating Freeza that if it doesn't happen I'll probably hate the movie for awhile.Doctor. wrote:It's better to have low expectations and be surprised than have high expectations and run the risk of disappointing yourself.

Oh, just seemed pretty obvious, that's what Dyno was talking about with the whole bringing up King Vegeta at all.Big Momma wrote:dbgtFO wrote:King Vegeta appeared in that flashback sequence with kid Vegeta, when Beerus came visiting and threatened them.Big Momma wrote:

My unusually crazy busy schedule this week has a powerful end goal that'll help me in the long run. It just happens to coincide with this week. Future weeks should be less packed.
On hiatus.

You must be quite the Vegeta fan, huh? Just out of curiosity, what if both Vegeta and Goku end up beating Freeza? Or what if Whis shows up at the last minute and defeats him?sintzu wrote:My expectations are so high for Vegeta defeating Freeza that if it doesn't happen I'll probably hate the movie for awhile.Doctor. wrote:It's better to have low expectations and be surprised than have high expectations and run the risk of disappointing yourself.

I'm fine with that but I'd rather Vegeta do it on his own.
As long as Vegeta gets an epic battle with him then OK.

I won't surf the Internet tomorrow...
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
Of course there is going to be some major meltdown when the plot and all spoilers are revealed. That's just how people are today, "disappointed by this new stuff" is a default setting.
But hopefully, there will also be people to balance it out, saying they are pleasantly surprised (if they were initially pessimistic) or that it's even better than expected (if they were already optimistic).
I'm not deluding myself into hoping that there won't be major complaints (as in overdramatic "this movie has ruined Dragon Ball forever" kind of lines), but I do hope there will also be a good amount of posivity with some "nice idea", "quite good", "very good", "great", etc...
As far as I'm concerned, I can't think of anything that would disappoint me. We'll see!
It's like... "I could potentially go through hell in due time, so I might as well start torturing myself right now to get used to it".
Or "My girlfriend might break-up with me someday and it would be painful so I might as well get used to it right now by thinking that it's just a question of time before she abandons me".
Or "This is a beautiful summer day and I'd really like to sunbathe, but they said it may or may not get cloudy tomorrow, so I might as well force myself to stay inside to get used to it.
But hey, I know that somehow, that "low expectations" thing seems to work for some people.
I also know it doesn't soften bad blows for me, it just gets in the way of otherwise good moments and the thrill of optimism and excitement.
To each his own, I guess. Whatever makes you feel better in the end.

I know it's a common way to see things, but I've never really understood that way of "protecting" oneself.Doctor. wrote: Can't really say I am. It's better to have low expectations and be surprised than have high expectations and run the risk of disappointing yourself.

Well that's a coincidence, I just watched dodgeball I watched the other night and there was a line similar to it, the reply to that said it was quite a pathetic approach to living, and I agree, it is. How about you try to gain some confidence in your life and just enjoy things a bit more? Some of us have raised expectations and are doing quite well thank you very much.Doctor. wrote:Can't really say I am. I'd really prefer the showing to be today instead of tomorrow, but I'll take it tomorrow over my near impenetrable Tuesday/Wednesday.
I'll figure something out, time wise.

What if he enjoys things more by thinking they'll suck and then being pleasantly surprised when they don't suck? Who are you to judge him for how he wants to live his life? It's not like he's saying everyone should do it, he said "I", as in him alone.TheBritWriter wrote:Well that's a coincidence, I just watched dodgeball I watched the other night and there was a line similar to it, the reply to that said it was quite a pathetic approach to living, and I agree, it is. What exactly is going on? I'm trying to go through this thread and apparently it is something that I should be excited for. All I'm summated is that we're getting new info, but I don't know how or from where.Chuquita wrote:I'd really prefer the showing to be today instead of tomorrow, but I'll take it tomorrow over my near impenetrable Tuesday/Wednesday.

Julian (Kanzenshuu staff member) is getting in to see Resurrection F tomorrow at a early preview screening, so we'll have details for most of the film.baneofdemon22 wrote:What exactly is going on? What does a Dragon Ball movie have anything to do with how I live my life?
