Also, since kid Trunks is still just a boy, I thought it’d be good to also portray him as growing up bit by bit. Well, I guess I’ve given the game away (laughs).

I like it. This arc could perfectly give some character development to Kid Trunks. Poor Goten.

-Nozawa voices Black Goku-

How predictable. Called it and I can't get behind this idea. Didn't make sense with Bardock, didn't make sense wth Turles, and probably won't make sense with Black Goku either.
This could be a good chance to find another voice actor that can voice Goku. Nozawa is already 79 years old and there's no point in overwork her.

They literally just gave another voice to copy vegeta, which is AN IDENTICAL COPY. I'm don't hate the idea, but I would have loved the copy vegeta voice approach with BLACK GOKU, Let's say let him be voice by a male or if it HAD to be female, why not Romi Park??? that would be awesome!. (In the end if Black Goku does indeed get a fusion with someone, Nowaza would work for the best, since the combination of a lower pitched voice and a high pitched one made Japanese Vegetto incredibly fucking badass)

I agree, the voice actor for copy Vegeta was great and I hoped they would do something similar for Black Goku. I don't like the idea of Nozawa voicing him.

I've read somewhere that it was Whis's voice actor who did the copy Vegeta voice.

Who did this, it has no impact at all.... anyways still hyped for the upcoming episode, Trunks' VA better not be hyping this shiz up by saying that by the end of this episode we'll literally be all "Our main characters are fcked"

PS. our Goku on this art has a black pupil in his eyes.... despite it being an error (most likely) he looks good with pupils like his SSJG form.

I also think there's a possibility of multiple Black Goku's. Whether from different timelines or clones. One of them almost kills Trunks, then at the end of the episode 4 of them just teleport in as Trunks escapes in the time machine. Would be cool to see Goku fight one, vegeta, Gohan/trunks etc.

Oh look. It's purple haired Trunks again... Damn it, why do they keep flip flopping?

It would actually be funny if Trunk's hair color swapped between blue and purple every episode. Then when he's finally asked about it, he just says he's indecisive on what color to dye his hair.

I might be in the minority here, but i am actually hoping for them to give Goku and Vegeta some new outfits, or at least give Goku his EOZ outfit. After the Champa Arc, i got tired seeing their RoF outfits.

Though i'm liking Goku Black's outfit more and more.

Why only DBZ? Whats wrong with original Dragon Ball, they are part of the same story.

Nothing important happened in DB, it was 194 chapters of everyone just sitting at Roshi's house waiting for Raditz to show up.

So if Toriyama and co. finished the story of the Trunks Arc in February and not too long ago, Toriyama said he currently have no plans for Goku and Vegeta surpass Beerus and Whis. Wouldn't that basically mean Goku and Vegeta would still be weaker than them at the end of the arc ?

I fully acknowledge this is all nitpicking about things that don't matter that much, but it's a recurring issue with a large majority of Dragon Ball's art these days. My issue is that it just isn't dynamic or expressive. They look like posed action figures.

This all looks very dynamic. You can see the movement even if the characters themselves aren't looking all too expressive. Hopefully comparing the two will help you see the difference?
