Re: "Raging Blast 2" Pre-Release Discussion
That mock up screen shot is SO cool. I would pick that up in an instant. It's very legendsesque. Why stop there? It would be cool if when you switched over to observer mode they would have a set of comments on how the battle is going. That would be very neat.

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Pre-Release Discussion
I think for battles like when Goku vs Ginyu and Vegeta vs Jeice was going on; there should be a button to press to switch battles and the other one you can see in the background. No damage being done in the background but you should be able to see them teleporting and shooting blasts [that miss but are still shot] and you should be able to SEE the other people 'on the scene' like how Jimmy firecracker was seen in one of the games on the Cell Games stage.
Re: "Raging Blast 2" Pre-Release Discussion
That's a very interesting camera angle, too. If a future game could incorporate that sort of playing style I'd be all up for trying it out.

I don't think I'd want that view the WHOLE time, but perhaps while you saw who was still alive to switch places with. People who have been beaten should be laying on the ground beside the other teammates being tended to. Switch outs should occur with the new player appearing and kicking player 2 in the head or something, like Piccolo did to Frieza while he was charging the spirit bomb.

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Pre-Release Discussion
The option to switch to a view like that would be brilliant! I never thought of something like that. And like TMS said, it would be great to have some comments from the people at the scene on how the battle is going - which really shouldn't be hard to implement since it's basically the same as commentary in sport simulations - ah yes, one may dream...

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Pre-Release Discussion
Even if it was generic comments on battles, there has been things like that in previous games where someone NOT fighting was talking about the battle. Although if you had more characters like that, the lock on feature would have to be changed to your directions dont always focus on just one person. That would make 2 on 1 pretty interesting.

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Pre-Release Discussion
I'd absolutely love to play a game where all my allies plus their health bars block the screen while I fight off in the distance.
The way the system is set up now, the idea is that all of your allies are doing that sort of thing off screen. Of course, if the developers wanted to have a quick cut-scene that addresses the change up they could, but I'd imagine that sort of cut-scene would be no different than the drama piece cut-scenes found in Burst Limit. Remember when we all loved those?

...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Pre-Release Discussion
LeprikanGT said himself he didn't think the health bars there would be a good idea...he even put it in brackets. As for the view itself I interpreted that as you can switch between the battling view and observer view like in Legends.

Someone should put this in the suggestion box for RB3.
. Also base forms are added to make the character complete, regardless if they fought in that form or not. If you dont count the movies no one fought in base form beyond the Freeza saga except Vegeta and that was against Pocus.
We had SSJ2 kid Gohan in Saiyan Armor in B3 and BT3Fishman wrote:Cell Arc Gohan didn't fight at all in base. Imagine SS2 Gohan in the Saiyan saga outfit!
Oh wait.

Except that this isn't at all what the image is suggesting. The players fighting aren't seeing this, the additional players (in this case) on Goku's "Team", can switch between this and the fight up close. From the spectator position, they could be the ones who decide who goes next, or send offers to tag-in for him.SparkyPantsMcGee wrote:I'd absolutely love to play a game where all my allies plus their health bars block the screen while I fight off in the distance.
You know, an idea that makes sense, as opposed to a snarky first-glance baseless assumption.
Congratulations, you missed the entire point of my response.goku the krump dancer wrote:We had SSJ2 kid Gohan in Saiyan Armor in B3 and BT3Fishman wrote:Cell Arc Gohan didn't fight at all in base. Imagine SS2 Gohan in the Saiyan saga outfit!

Super Saiyan Blue is not a creative color.
DBZ Movie 3 told a stronger and more believable "Evil Goku" story in 60 minutes than Dragon Ball Super has in 20 episodes. And it did it with better visuals and score.

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Pre-Release Discussion
So you like the idea of early, middle, and end versions of the same character? That logic applys best only to Gohan because he is the only one that had drastic changes, yeah Vegeta had his moments and Piccolo did too but theres no reason at all why there was multiple versions of them.Fishman wrote:Congratulations, you missed the entire point of my response.goku the krump dancer wrote:We had SSJ2 kid Gohan in Saiyan Armor in B3 and BT3Fishman wrote:Cell Arc Gohan didn't fight at all in base. You missed the point entirely. This is what you're saying: Kid Gohan turns into Teen Gohan when you make him go SSJ. How does that sound?Fishman wrote: Cell Arc Gohan didn't fight at all in base. Imagine SS2 Gohan in the Saiyan saga outfit!

Looks like America will have the same cover art as Europe. (Sorry if it's been posted).

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Pre-Release Discussion
Hmmm...they changed the logo position...for the worse, if I might say. >_<
Re: "Raging Blast 2" Pre-Release Discussion
U.S. cover looks a bit brighter and is cropped. Betcha Funimation had something to do with that.
Re: "Raging Blast 2" Pre-Release Discussion
European cover is superior.

RB did that too. It boggles the mind as to why they'd waste effort changing the placement of the logo.

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Pre-Release Discussion
I can see why they made the change, the US cover cuts into the top 3 characters, in the EU versino everyone waist up is fine and it looks less crowded.
And I like the placement of the RB on the PS3 cover better than the 360.

I never saw the need in cropping the image either. The Tori-bot wrote:RB did that too. It boggles the mind as to why they'd waste effort changing the placement of the logo.![]()
