Don't count on it. Toei removed Yamamoto's score from Kai and Bandai Namco re-released Raging Blast 2 with the replacement score of Tenkaichi 2, so they eliminated Yamamoto completely from the market (Except third party sellers who still have it).

I thought about it too but it could be anything, like a portal to a different time/year/etc.

Aside from the Tenkaichi-type gameplay this game is now starting to look very interesting.

Oh no, they are the same thing.... its going to be hell if they bring back the most tedious element of those mini-games back. I hate having to fly through rings or avoiding bombs. I just want to race the clock and find the Dragonballs. Even chasing Cell was fun when there are no obsticles to overconsider.

The future warriors base power level seems to be > #17 but not enough to handle both #17 and #18
Canon is Jaco, Dragon Ball except for EoZ, Dragon Ball Super anime and manga (both are separate canons)

Well I still hope he's playable in the game despite only being an NPC here :( and I hope Tohru Furuya still voices him in said cutscenes, he deserves to keep SOME of his old characters.
He shouldn't be only portrayed with the game's text.
But by the looks of it seems to be a game with the Future Warrior as the main playable character :)

But if Goku, Vegeta, Kuririn, etc are playable as well and NOT Yamcha, I would be majorly dissapointed :(

As far as i know he's been in evry game since budokai so i dout that will change with this game which is funny cause he haesn't done anything in Z :

Saiyan saga : he died
Freeza saga : he was dead
Cell saga : he almost died
Buu saga : he waesn't in it
Battle of gods : he almost got Oolong killed
New movie : he eather won't be in it or will be and die
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Actually Yamcha did appear in the Buu saga, he just did not fight anymore and he died in there as well, alongside the rest of the cast except for Goku. Mr. Satan, The Kaiohshin and Dende.

He actually did a few things in DBZ (take Goku home when he started suffering form his heart virus, help Bulma and the others find the Dragonballs in the Buu saga to revive Majin Vegeta's villains, try to help the other Z-warriors alongside Tenshinhan) but still not as much as Dragonball due to the humans not being major characters anymore.

The only show where he didn't really do anything at all as GT (where all he did was be an extra in the background)

As for you doubting that Yamcha being playable will change, I sure hope you are right.

I'm sure he's playable simply because he's been given a model, and I think Budokai 1 is one of the only Dragon Ball games to have models for cutscene only characters.

Budokai 3 had a bulma design within it's data that ended up not really being used for any fighting. Fighting noises for bulma can be found in the behind the scenes documentary for Budokai 3 leading to speculation that it must have originally been planned as a playable character and was tossed to the side for whatever reason.

Now back to the main topic, does anyone care to speculate as to how this free roam will work? Can we expect a comparison of a Sagas-done-right or something of a Budokai fly around the world and land except with walk around when you fly down rather then immediate battle? Speculation anyone?

Of course Yamchas a regular playable character, why would he not be? And I'm thinking since they seem to be taking a page from DBO that "future warrior" is like the players character in that game, a human from the future with some Saiyan blood. But I'll never forgive or look past his lazy ass design unless he's a create a character and you have to mash up existing characters. That would actually be fun. I thought they said in an interview a while back that there is a reason for why he's just mashed up other characters but I'm starting to doubt it. They need to just give us information now cause he's not interesting enough to make a big secret out of

And to Toei's credit, they did make Yamcha far stronger through filler. Taking names when it came to Recoome and the Otherworld fighters, I mean. Dying had a positive effect on the guy at that point.

Bulma is a playable character in Budokai 3 through the Japanese edition while using some sort of cheats, iirc.

Wish they'd have kept her for the EU/US releases too.

TBH I wouldnt against it if they used the Anime's bulma model use the Evolution Bulma's moveset from the PSP game rather than her be a fighter - which she isnt, or a Videl costume...

I find it hard to believe yamcha won't be playable in this game based on every other game i've played in the Dragon Ball franchise.

I don't think that there is any valid concern of him not being a playable character, especially considering he seems to be an npc in the roam/rpg-ish sequence of the game. (they already modeled the character). I am very sure he will be in the game as a playable character.

Yamcha was decent in Burst Limit, I liked the way he fought. Burst Limit was one of those few games where characters didn't feel all the same. He had a "Wolf Fang" fighting style which I thought was cool.
