Can't get behind the idea of reviving everyone from future Trunks timeline.
Future Mai should still be alive, so he still didn't lose everyone. I think she's enough. I love the consequences and darkness of Future Trunks timeline and I don't wanna lose that.

We have enough happy endings on the main timeline.

Have an adventure quest for the Super Dragon Balls would be great, but that's what should've happened in Champa arc and they blew it.

It means more to search for the Super Dragon Balls to restore Future Trunks' world than to search for one Super Dragon Ball since they already had six of them just so Beerus can have the wish anyway. Also, they wouldn't even explore U6 since Champa already collected all the Super Dragon Balls in his universe, which was why he was looking in U7. It's very much a call back to when Gohan, Krillin, and Bulma went to Namek to revived their falling friends.

I am also not a believe in true art is angst. If Toriyama can tell a compelling story that ends with Trunks' world being restore after years of hardship and pain, then they should go for it. It's called, earned your happy ending.

Thank you. After a story arc of this magnitude in terms of dark storytelling, I still feel that Toriyama just HAS to throw F. Trunks and his entire world a bone already. Also, as I've already predicted, for all we know, this could possibly be F. Trunks' (and by extension, his ruined world's) final appearance in Dragon Ball (in the anime sense, at least.) so they may as well give them a happy ending of that magnitude, right? Not to mention, the Super DBs could at least be used to give them some sort of challenge to keep the cast busy even after Black's defeat, considering the cast will more likely than not be looking for ALL 7 Super DBs. Heck, the entire search for them could be DBGT's Black Star Dragon Balls saga done (HOPEFULLY) right.

Trunks could have a beard, why not? Goku and Vegeta had! Beards are a trend now on and also would fit both for the apocalyptic time and for we to see an old mature Trunks living by nothing than cat food

Yes I noticed this. I wonder if they forgot that Bulma's hairstyle was different in her last appearance. Or if they just wanted to change her hairstyle, they should give her an old woman hairstyle like EoZ and GT.

I wouldn't mind Trunks with a beard/mustache; I've always thought it suited him.

Without being bias since I prefer long-haired Trunks, it would have been a nice addition with a beard.

Anyway, NO. Future Trunks shouldn't get a happy ending. He should get a bittersweet type of ending at best. I already don't like Super much, but at least it hasn't ruined PAST story arcs. If they have everyone revived this series would be RUINING a perfectly good story from Z. They already kinda did almost by taking away his bittersweet ending in the Cell saga where he had to help rebuild Earth. That was the perfect way to end his story. The Time Patrol is cool though because it doesn't ruin his Z ending. It's more like a side adventure he goes on.

Babidi needed energy to revive Buu, energy from strong fighters like Gohan and Vegeta. Trunks wasn't strong enough to revive Buu.

If they do use the Super Dragon Balls to fix Trunks' timeline, the fix should be the Earth restored and maybe Bulma ressurected. Reviving all the other fighters would be pointless, as Trunks has no personal connection with any of them except Gohan. It wouldn't be like bringing back Uncle Ben. It would be like bringing back some Golden Age superheroes who nobody cares about and Spiderman never met.

But no seriously, I doubt the Z-fighters were that much different from the ones of our own timeline, since they had died before Trunk's world had gone through any drastic changes. And he got along perfectly fine with the fighters of our timeline.

I don't really understand what fixing Trunks' timeline would ruin. He's already a completed character, is he supposed to grow more? Into what, exactly? I don't see him do much fighting wise and he can form a family with everyone alive anyways.

His Cell arc story didn't go anywhere so what's the problem? He'd still be the same person except happier.

Maybe he could have a key role in this arc and, at the end, the Gods ask him to be a Time Patroller and in return he asks them to eventually gather the Super Dragon Balls and fix his timeline. This way he gets his happy ending but not soon. Having the gang search for them would be nice but how would they do that? They wouldn't be able to explode planets to reveal them and carry them around.

Seems like an ability to me. Dragon Ball may obscure villains in flashbacks, but they have never done so when actually showing the villain.

It actually comes from Dragon Ball Online, a game that follows solely the manga, so it's not something "out of question".
