Nobody knows. But he's been around for tens of millions of years, so he has a very sizable amount of knowledge of the universe under his belt.

No. He didn't know of Earth's foods, so no. However, he does seem to be very knowledgeable, and he can find much through his staff, though the staff may just be a conduit of his power.
So, either no or sorta.

Those comments are hilarious. Especially when you know Toriko is a Goku/Kenshiro rip off.

I dunno that I'd say 'rip-off' - it's more like Toriko, art wise at least, is very much a combination of the big, muscular heroes of old (JoJo's, FotNS, etc.), and the gooier antics and generally softer art of "newer" shonen (Dragon Ball, Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, etc.).

There are about 9 figures listed that are from Fukkatsu no F that include Gohan, Piccolo, Freeza, Vegeta, two figures for Goku, and some collectibles.

Dragon Ball is an "old" shonen, along with FotNS and JoJo's. It shouldn't be considered as new or as old as JoJo's tbh, it hardly belongs with the new shonen like One Piece and Naruto.

That's why I had new in quotations though. Dragon Ball, so far as I've been able to tell, was pretty much the first action shonen series to have art that wasn't all grim and serious looking, so basically it paved the way for things to come later. It was also seemingly the first one to have the most powerful characters not be huge buff guys. Toriko basically combines these two aspects - the goofier, lighter art style that Dragon Ball introduced, with the musculature style present in series prior to Dragon Ball.

Whis isn't omniscient. To be more apt, it's more like Cosmic Awareness. He can know of something if he wants to know of it, but day to day he isn't aware of events across the universe unless he is specifically looking into them. It's not unlike King Kai who appeared unaware of Cell until Goku showed up to ask for his help in finding the Namekians. King Kai didn't know where they were until he set about looking for them. However the major difference we can see is that Whis can gather and process this information much faster than any of the Kais. He can learn about something almost instantly if he decides he wants to know about it.

Ah I see, my mistake. It and Rurouni Kenshin seem to be the only shonen from that age that are pumping out new content now (JoJo's has turned to a seinen now so I don't count it). I always felt Dragon Ball had muscular designs though, like Goku when he used the Kaioken against Vegeta, though obviously it was never as used like in FotNS.

He did know what ice cream was, he just didnt know how to make one. But personally i think all these scenes are irelevent because their just in there to kill time. They could have easily made whis say something else instead of making him ask questions.

Well, Saint Seiya, while technically being released after the start of Dragon Ball had his most powerful character being not huge buff guys as well. And big buff guys tended to be the weakest there: Bear Geki, Cassios, Aldebaran.

It would be hilarious though, it that figure with Goku was a photoshopped figure of Toriko.

No worries. And yeah, they certainly do get pretty muscular later, but the 'goofy' artstyle persists throughout.

Man, this Blue SSJG Goku came out from nowhere...
We already had thought about Blue SSJG Vegeta, but Goku...nop.

Now the confirmation of this, is what I want to see the most.

I don't know why everyone is going nuts on the blue God thing. It's a simple design which probably will have the fiery aura, and most likely will keep them skinny. It seems to be real and follows the simple transformations of before. It's an interesting unique look for a new form and it'll probably be cool to see in the movie.

Based on Heroes and the Figurines the form will most likely have normal skin tone(of their base selves) but their hair and pupils/iris will glow blue while their eyebrow hair are regular blue color. Just compare the glowing hair to a blue version of Naruto's hair when he is in Six Paths Sage Mode.

With the Western world getting the movie so quickly this time (April 11th for the subtitled release and a national theatrical release coming in Summer), I'm just wondering if there will be any reservations about posting a detailed summary until a later time?
