What is really interesting is that Tamesu has still 2 earrings.... What does that mean for Black and his one earring?

His Black outfit heavily implies he have some sort of connection to Goku Black. Could be his creation or something.

I'm pretty sure that drawing ends at the neck and what people are calling his "black outfit" is just a shadow on the page. There's no line art there:

The thing around his neck is not white in his other outfit though. So one can assume it's another outfit. And seeing how little the original image is, one can really asuume it's a Black outfit.

Crazy idea but can this be the white enemy Akira Toriyama talked about a while ago??

No because Toriyama started writing the Trunks Arc on Autumn. And he decided to have the color of the SSB as Blue back in 2014. I'm not saying it's impossible that there will be a white-related villain. But Toriyama most likely was just referring to Freeza at that time.

The interview was very recent though. Just like how him saying that he might leave white for later doesn't exactly mean that he has an entire story for it planned already, he might already have been thinking about some white haired villain even if there was no full story around him.

I'm almost certain that the collar just isn't colored in purple like it should be because it's not a full body piece. Toriyama did similar things for his reference art for Battle of God, Resurrection "F", etc.

Black's earring isn't the same color as Zamasu's, different earrings.

It's impossible but having goten be Black would be amazing. Goten and trunks are best friends in the present, but having them be enemies in the future would be an awesome contrast. This arc could have been their equivalent of Gohan's cell saga.
