I am amazed how this is still and discussion. Those figures do not look legit at all.Blade wrote:Come on! It wouldnt exactly be the SAME old shit like list time. What is it with people wanting Vegeta to get revenge or something, the guy never cared for his race he even killed Nappa cuz he was weak.SSJGFrieza wrote:You like the same old shit all the time?SansrivaaL wrote:Still hoping Goku gets to finish this, the main character doesnt deserve an ending that rekt's his ass and not getting up....

Because Goku always gets to be the hero of the movies.SansrivaaL wrote:

Vegeta's character is on par with Gohan and Piccolo but he gets more than what he deserves.
I'd rather have Gohan become the hero than Vegeta.
Vegeta is on a completely different level.
The same Gohan who isn't sure he can turn Ssj1 ?
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Well it's 7:10pm over in Japan so I guess he's watching it as I type this.

It seems everyone is assuming that he's gonna beat Freeza but what if his important role is something else?
Favorite characters: Goku,Vegeta,Future Trunks

Why do people want Goku to be SSJgod when he absorbed the power in the last movie?!
I don't understand.. he has no need to have red hair.
god everyone always complains.

Maybe because Freeza used him his entire life and killed his father and wiped out his entire race. If anyone deserves to see Freeza's head on a stick then it's Vegeta and he should be the one who puts it there. Goku has hardly any emotional turmoil with Freeza. Not to mention he's already beaten him once. Vegeta deserves to be the one to do so this time IMO.SansrivaaL wrote:It wouldnt exactly be the SAME old shit like list time. Besides it hasnt been Goku all the time, yes he does an important role but thats to be expected, getting mad over it is what makes it seem like he is so bad at being the main hero.
I have always seen Vegeta on Gohan's level when it comes to character wise not power wise.
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
And Gohan has beaten a main villain, so why shouldn't Vegeta get that opportunity?SansrivaaL wrote:Maybe because Goku IS the main hero of the storysintzu wrote:Because Goku always gets to be the hero of the movies.SansrivaaL wrote:

The blue haired forms could potentially be fake (though I doubt it), but I feel like a lot of people are deciding to ignore the signs if they still want to say there isn't another new form (or at least a new version of an old form). The whole point of this set, and the next set, of Heroes cards is almost exclusively to tie-in with Resurrection F. If there wasn't something new for Goku at least, Bandai wouldn't bother doing all the secretive "check out this Goku card after April 18th" or "here's a teaser video of part of a transformation scene, but you can't see the whole thing till April 18th" promotions they are doing.

Goku just lost the same things that Vegeta lost, the only difference is Goku didnt know until Vegeta told him that. I dont think he deserves it after seeing how he treats his saiyan comrades, I just dont buy it.

Like I said they arent the main hero of the story, AT was planning on making Gohan the main hero which is why AT made him beat Cell but after that he just didnt feel Gohan becoming the hero so he went back to Goku.

From a story point of view this doesn't make sense.SansrivaaL wrote:

Goku being the main character shouldn't be a reason to not give other characters the spotlight.

Goku had absolutely no affliction with his race whatsoever. Saying the loss for him was equally as bad as it was for Vegeta is laughable. And Goku wasn't used and treated like a slave for his entire life up to that point. Goku has nowhere near the amount of emotional turmoil with Freeza that Vegeta has.SansrivaaL wrote:Goku just lost the same things that Vegeta lost, the only difference is Goku didnt know until Vegeta told him that. So being the main hero should deprive the other characters the right from shining themselves? I pray you never write a manga.SansrivaaL wrote:Like I said they arent the main hero of the story, AT was planning on making Gohan the main hero which is why AT made him beat Cell but after that he just didnt feel Gohan becoming the hero so he went back to Goku.

Majin Vegeta with that heroic sacrifice
Vegeta killing zarbon (not really sure if its zarbon)
Trunks killing Frieza

Hm, a last thought before I hit the hay for the night...
I do wonder why this movie has managed to create levels of hype that are so much higher than what BOG managed...and that was the first movie in 17 years! It was coming off the back of the, then-disastrous conclusion of Dragon Ball Kai, we thought the franchise was heading towards a quiet period when that film was announced. Sure there was still a lot of excitement surrounding that movie, but not nearly to the extent of this one. It's gotten to the point where this thread is on the brink of surpassing the BOG one before the first screening has even happened! Is it simply because this forum has more members now? Or is it because we now know to expect the unpredictable, ever since we saw how the last film ended? I guess you can't necessarily correlate the number of posts in a forum thread to actual hype, but still. Given the amount of negativity surrounding this movie early on compared to the raw excitement of Battle of Gods, I am a tad surprised. And yet, I feel like I shouldn't be. After 2013, people are now more aware of what goes on, in regards to these movies. Everyone knows that there are preview screenings now, whereas I don't recall anything like the all-day countdown we had today, in 2013. I'm seeing people talking about when they're gonna wake up, etc. It's insane, and for someone that's been on here for half a decade now (I know it's still not a huge amount in the context of this forum, or even the internet), I've never seen anything like what I saw/read today. I almost feel like I have to take a moment to appreciate just how active this fandom and forum is now, not that it was ever inactive before, but this is another level altogether. 'A Godly Dimension of Excitement', you might say.
And on that note, g'night. I might be too scared to open this thread tomorrow...ah, who am I kidding.

Dont worry I dont plan on making a manga of my own. Like I said Goku never deprived anyone, everyone had their fair share of fights not just Goku.Birusu16 wrote:So being the main hero should deprive the other characters the right from shining themselves? Also Frieza never really treated Vegeta as a slave, he did give position to Vegeta being one of his high ranking officers.

I would say because BoG everyone knew it was going to be more of a reunion and light hearted affair.. While this new film is a complete 100% Toriyama product and is being hyped as far more actionDragonBoxZTheMovies wrote:Hm, a last thought before I hit the hay for the night...
