The scene where Goku lights up those three lamps in the trailer, which this game is based on, is when he's learning how to do the Kamehame-Ha. But if the Kamehame-Ha is the highest form of airbending, why does it set fire to lamps?Snail wrote:4145.
So judging by this flash game..the ki blasts in the film will be extremely smokey and misty? That's a drag.

No, he just learned it by watching Kame-Sen'nin; the car was just something to try it out on.Dr. Casey wrote:I thought Goku learned the Kamehameha by blasting the tire off a car?
By the way, if that was an attempt at sarcasm, it phailed with a "ph".

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li was not pre-screened for critics,[4]. The film ranking website Rotten Tomatoes reported that 6% of critics had given the film positive reviews, based upon a sample of 32.[5] At Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the film has received an average score of 21, based on 9 reviews.[6] Amongst the more positive reviews, Rob Nelson of Variety wrote that "Neither the best nor the worst of movies derived from videogames, Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li at least gives action fans plenty to ogle besides the titular heroine (Kristin Kreuk)".[6] while The New York Times wrote that the film was "Reveling in the vivid Bangkok locations, Geoff Boyle's photography is crisp and bright, and Dion Lam's action choreography unusually witty".[6] Negative reviews focused on the screenplay and fight scenes. The Hollywood Reporter wrote that "other than a few reasonably well-staged fight sequences, the proceedings are dull and visually uninspired. Justin Marks' solemn screenplay lacks any trace of wit."[6] Jeremy Wheeler of TV Guide wrote that "Fight scenes, while admirable for shaking off the shaky-cam aesthetic of their big-screen brethren, neither inspire nor find a good balance between martial arts and FX-laden power punches".[7] IGN gave the movie 1.5 stars out of 5, saying "There's better staged and more enjoyable brawls between Peter and the Chicken on Family Guy." They also stated the previous Street Fighter film was more enjoyable than this one."
I just found this on wiki. What else would you expect from that film?

What did the critics say? Was it a positive review?JAPPO wrote:Just a tidbit, but DB:E was prescreened for critics a month or two ago and they've had press conferences with screenings.

Because they are forced not to publish them until it's close to release. Just like every other movie. Just like when you go to RT there's very few reviews until the movie is released.MajinVejitaXV wrote:Why no reviews then?JAPPO wrote:Just a tidbit, but DB:E was prescreened for critics a month or two ago and they've had press conferences with screenings.

"Very few," but some if the movie's been screened (Kevin Smith was going on about a rough cut of Watchmen that he saw last year, and that was a promotional screening also). Besides, there are several types of NDA's, and the movie comes out in about a week anyhow in Japan doesn't it? We should have heard something by now.JAPPO wrote:Because they are forced not to publish them until it's close to release. Just like every other movie. Kevin Smith is not going to review Dragonball... and I don't know if there's Japanese reviews, I don't live in Japan nor do I understand the language.MajinVejitaXV wrote:"Very few," but some if the movie's been screened (Kevin Smith was going on about a rough cut of Watchmen that he saw last year, and that was a promotional screening also). Uh...did I ever say he was going to? I said he screened a different movie, months before release, and wrote about it online. The point of this being that, if the movie was screened, there should be something out there about it. Even if it's just, "Saw DragonBall Evolution. Fox has me under an NDA."JAPPO wrote:Kevin Smith is not going to review Dragonball...
You think with the vast amount of enthusiasts online, for or against this movie, that a review could exist without us finding it and at least having a piss-poor Google translation? To quote TFS Nappa, "Bitch please."and I don't know if there's Japanese reviews, I don't live in Japan nor do I understand the language.

Okay.MajinVejitaXV wrote:It must have been pretty boring if you're the only one online writing about them then ;pJAPPO wrote:Right. Well I know for a fact there were pre-screenings. Some of them in Los Angeles and others in Asia. Believe whatever you want.

I remember reading something recently about this that made me laugh. I can't find the source now, but it went something along the lines of: "For those of you who are unfamiliar with the franchise, Street Fighter is about two Karate fighters, Ryu and Ken, who fight in martial arts tournaments. Naturally, Hollywood decided to ignore all of that in both Street Fighter movies."Pain wrote:"Receptionomegacwa wrote:So.... no new trailer on Street Fighter....
