It probably won't be addressed but I hope Trunks would get pissed off with Goku if he goes around spouting his whole "this is making me excited" schtick, considering Trunks has lost people he loves.

I kind of feel since Goku was incapacitated with the heart virus for most of the Androids arc Trunks hasn't properly seen Goku's true character.

Sure he saw an excited Goku fight Cell, but also he was made aware that Goku had faith in Gohan who had higher potential.

Goku losing to Black would be interesting, though. But we see that Vegeta is with him in the episode preview so I wonder if he either steps aside while Goku gets his beat down or just advises that they train before having their final encounter with Black.

It's why I urge people do not get their hopes up. He has absolutely zero advertisement for him, so it's unlikely he plays any real part. If there's a Gohan and Trunks episode, it'll have some nice interaction, and that's probably it. If people hype themselves up again like they did with Vegeta, Piccolo, and Boo, they are going to likely be very disappointed.

Oh I am pretty intrigued by the episode. Small hope it's a big start for Gohan. But since I doubt that, I'm more intrigued at the chemistry we can get, that was sorely lacking in the Cyborg arc. One of it's biggest crimes.

So it's confirmed that future Trunks fuses with Gohan ( After they train for about 4 years in the HTC), finger flicks goku black and ends the arc? Gohan is definitely far underappreciated. I mean, he was the co-main character of Z in my opinion, so cut him some slack (and by that I mean make him awesome ).
