Anyway, my biggest fear is that after all the build up around Black and all the theories, that the reveal about who he is will be lame. Won't lie, I'll be super disappointed if Black really is just a look alike Goku. It would just make him a different take on Turlus in my opinion. I also don't care for the possession theories since that is a little too close to Baby for my taste. Still, I would take that over another look alike.
Nothing wrong with getting hyped up. Just depends what you're getting hyped for. Getting pretty hyped for Goku vs Black, what Mai's involvement may be, and the identity of Black is something to get pretty hyped for. It's just 52 that people shouldn't get too hyped for. Hyped for the interaction yes, but don't set those expectations to something too big, only to be disappointed. Super really hasn't use plot points we've have seen in the series outside of the retellings. Stuff like the multiverse tournament have been done in a fan comic, but the execution is completely different. Even 'evil' Goku is done in a way that is quite unique so far. And Future Trunks return isn't just Time Patrol Trunks like I feared. Oh god the internet will be set on fire if that happens. I will take a Goku who had his memory wiped, forced into slavery and retrained to be the ultimate warrior, breaks free of their control and killed the people who manipulated him, and is now I free agent. That's what I'm hoping for. But given how Trunks took on Goku Black, he might not be all that strong.
