Wow they remembered Yamcha beyond that gag in the previous chapter and even Chiaotzu. Kudos to Toyotarõ for not turning gags into humiliations to the characters.

May be this manga was born as a promotion , but still manga sales are great .... that’s talking by itself ....other series are working first manga and then tv and imo is the best way , that’s how I started in the 90’s

This Show's she is really strong from the start and gives more of a reason to choose her over someone from army of fighters..
It gives her character weight while also preserving her gang leader status..

Exactly! This is marvelous. It makes her believable when the saiyan army itself won't stand against her. She isn't just some random punk either, she's a threat on a wide scale. Man I love this already. He fixed two of my biggest complaints thus fair where her design, and her backstory. In this case she has had apparent run-ins with the army previously and came out of it to the point where they fear her. She's a real serious threat on a large scale before even becoming SSJ. It also makes more sense as her strength would be leagues above most saiyans so her being strong enough to become SSJ makes more sense in context when so many others have not. Ironically this was the same complaint I had about Jiren in the anime. Him being so incredibly strong but having nothing or real note besides simply being a member of the pride troops correlated with his immense power. The same was true for Caulifa, she was just awarded the title of "gang leader" and having "potential" and "fighting genius". But there were no feats implied to correlate and compare her against. There really is only one thing I hope that happens now and that Caulifa assumes the role of team leader over Cabba. This would make me completely warm up to her character. I'm not sure if its possible for me to ever like Kale unless she is handled completely differently in the manga. I.e. backstory for this trauma and form(s). Prefer that there is no "controlled" form beyond being mentally aware.

Wow man,i also dislike what some writers do to some characters but you actually insult them for making fun of a character you like.
Also its worse,in the anime Yamcha was never option since he was never considered,here he is an option and they still choose Freeza over him.

Yamcha was always a respected fighter in the original, this whole joke thing Toei is going for is just because it's popular on the internet and as far as I'm concerned it should've stayed there.

He was still taken seriously by everyone else for the most part. Vegeta mocked everyone back in the day including Goku, that doesn't mean they were disrespected like how Yamcha is now.

Its not even close,even pre Buu saga Vegeta had some degree of respect for everyone despite his mocking.
He respected Goku and Piccolo for their strength,Gohan and Krillin due to sticking with him for most of Namek,thats because they did something that warranted even a tiny bit of respect from Vegeta.The writing/Toriyama never gave Yamcha that chance.

Also considering Yamcha's track record(especially in dbz)its not wonder they do not even consider him(he is also retired as well),heck Tien straight up ditches Yamcha in rof,in all 3 versions of it.
