I know that purists see the hardcore action cartoon aspect of the Dragon Ball anime as being a FUNimation "thing", but would we please wake up and realize that it's what it was? Dragon Ball was a mystical adventurous (no pun intended) comedy, but Z was on a much grander and more epic scale. Geez.
No man you think I'm being sarcastic brah but I totally agree. Gohan sounds like a friggin FAG in that version. Hes screamin' like a girl or somethin'. That music sucks too when it's all like slow and not ROCKIN' or nothin' yo. That music sounds like CIRCUS music you're right man...you're right. I totally like expect that music to play during a CIRCUS or somethin' man. Meanwhile that dub music sounds like its being played by DISTURBED OR SLIPKNOT it's so ROCKING. Dragonball's about ACTION AND SCREAMING LIKE MEN so it's only the fitting for the music to be just as X-TREME as the show yo. GAAAAAAGH I'm going to go watch WWF man because thats how HARDCORE I am.

While I'm not going to jump in the middle of this debate, I must say that the music in that mystic Gohan power-up scene in the Funi dub was actually pretty good. I'm not usually a fan, but it was better than much of the usual looping techno stuff. Couldn't find a clip of the japanese version; can anybody point me towards it?

The set finally arrived. It's not widescreen. I wasn't expecting it to be, Madman don't have that capability anyway.
