Even with the messed up sound - that's so cute I could throw up! Does anyone know how to rip HQ Youtube video? Keepvid.com doesn't seem to preserve the full quality. I want to catalogue the various promos/commercials/ect as they air with Kai because they tend to get lost over the years.

I guess it would be harder to take him out, but it's not necessarily a bad thing, it's not like they use him in a filler to explain something Remember Dr. Frappe and the alternate DragonBalls story

I don't know why but I really like the music that played before the show starts, when Gohan busted out of the pod, and again when Goku was running down Snake Way in this episode.

His name's Tony Tony Chopper, from the best of the current Shounen Trinity showing right now, One Piece. He's an anthropomorphic reindeer who ate a fruit which allows animals to take on human traits.

The episode guideis up on Toei's DBK site, and the interesting thing is, the guide uses 4:3 screenshots from the episodes (kind of like what FUNi did on the back of their season set boxes).

Side Note: I know this sort against one or two of the rules, but I think it's an important thing to know: One of these three sitescontains a virus (not the torrents they contain, but the sites themselves). So I'd avaoid them at all costs. Luckily I have a very good protection program installed, and my computer is unharmed, but one of those sites tried (them bitches ain't got nothin' on me!) to drop some kind of bloodhound virus thingy onto my hard drive. But really, my computer's fine, my posts aren't infected either, and I don't have swine flu.

It's very helpful, especially for those who don't have the opportunity to watch the broadcast and don't want to wait months or years until it's released in DVD / Blu-Ray Disc.

I'll be watching the episode and make notes on the differences between the manga and DragonBall Kai, if Herms doesn't post it before.

From Chapter 207

A portion of Piccolo's dialogue was cut. In the manga, after Gohan asks "stay alive...?", Piccolo responds "that's right, you'll have to survive on you own". In DragonBall Kai, this bit is concealed. It skips to Piccolo explaining that if Gohan manages to stay alive for six months, he will come back to train him.

After Piccolo says farewell to Gohan, he originally told him not to wonder off because the area was surrounded by an hellish desert and the plains compared to it felt like a "paradise".

Gohan calling Piccolo "cruel" was removed.

From Chapter 208

When Gohan goes to urinate by the ledge, Piccolo, who is observing him, comments on this. Gohan then talks to himself, mumbling about how hungry he is, but that he can't really climb down from such a high place.

Piccolo's reaction to Gohan's Oozaru transformation was removed. He only questions what is happening to Gohan when he notices a bizarre change in Gohan's behavior. In the manga, after Gohan undergoes the transformation, Piccolo shouts "What?!" and "Incredible!".

After Gohan begins to destroy the landscape, Piccolo originally remarks the destructive power of his attacks is extraordinary.

After Piccolo gives Gohan a new gi like Goku's, he originally had a line that explained the symbol on the back of the gi was that of the "Ma". There's a shot centered in the symbol instead, and the line was removed.

From Chapter 209

Chichi and Gyuumao's very first lines were taken out.

After Bulma measures Kamesennin and Kuririn's battle power, she explains that the device allows to track down any single person. Afterwards, she reads a battle power of 250 at about 3.000 kilometers and wonders who that is. Kuririn reveals that to be Tenshinhan. Next, is a reading of 177. Kamesennin says it's Yamcha. Then, she reads someone with 329. They guess it's Piccolo and that Gohan should probably be with him. Kuririn asks whether they should rescue him, but Kamesennin tells him not do it because Piccolo has a plan. He then also adds that Kuririn wouldn't be able to defeat Piccolo and Kuririn because of his battle power. Bulma, enthusiastically, says this way they can locate Tenshinhan and Yamcha, and that soon, they could gather the remaining dragonballs and bring Goku to life.

When Gyuumano and Chichi arrive at the Kame-house, Bulma, very troubled, says to Kuririn "and now what...?". Although the footage is still present in DragonBall Kai, the line was removed.

Yep.

From the DBZ Uncensored comparison of the episode during its Saban run:

"Censored: When Chichi is driving with her dad, he has a cigarette hanging out of his mouth that has been painted over. It flies out pretty quick when she starts yelling at him, so it was just a few seconds. This cigarette censoring thing really cracks me up. There have been THREE of these so far in the dub. "
