Like, the LAST Episode only.

Remove the rest of that GT stuff...

NOU I seriously love GT. Of course the ending is one thing that most haters can appreciate. :D

I heard that Toriyama (and from other fans) didn't like this ending because he thought Gohan was unsuitable for that role. I just like this ending because Gohan, once a weak little boy who was totally against fighting (and probably still is) and always relied on his father, grew up to be the strongest fighter on Earth and defeated the greatest threat to the planet.

I actually read somewhere ( not sure where), that Toriyama wanted to actually shift the main focus to Gohan. But received to many complaints and had to put Goku back in. haha
Oh. Well, I saw on Wikipedia that Toriyama thought Gohan was unsuitable for the hero role. But then again, Wikipedia isn't always reliable...

Actually, Gohan was given the spotlight, and built up to be the hero throughout the series. The whiny fans wanted Goku back. Toriyama tried again with Gotenks, and with Gohan again towards the end of the series. But I guess the Japanese audience just didn't want that. Goku got the spotlight, because well, he's Goku!

I usually say just cut the series at the party where everyone gets together after the Buu fight, but thats just me.

However I REALLY like the idea of changing how the final budokai arc could have gone. Keep uub in there but don't have Goku fight him until the finals. Run the tournament, show us WHY Goku's going to train uub instead of just telling us. SHOW US how good he is. Also, because it has to happen to relieve a lot of final tension, a semifinal round must be fought between Goku and Vegeta, finishing the rivalry once and for all, Vegeta's already been able to admit Goku's the better fighter previously, this just allows him to get the fight out of his system. Follow the final round with Uub as their fight was in Z as is, except Goku conceeds the round before walking off (not flying off) the arena. Uub gets curious and asks him what was going on and Goku tells him he's the future of earth, and if he wants to be stronger to follow Goku home for training. Uub decides to do just that, and with Gohan, and Goten fying with Goku, Kinto-un is summoned, and you get the flash shot of kid Goku riding it, and adult gohan riding it behind that, to show this is the next hero after Gohan, all four of them ride off to Mt. Paozu.

THE END.

I wonder why people always go "DAMN WHINY JAPANESE FANS!"

Goku is a much more interesting character than Gohan. =/
