I hated how Gohan died in that special. In the manga he pissed off #17 so much that the battle was just going to be between them (no #18 ). And then the killing blow is a bunch of energy blasts MISSING him? Oh no! They've hit everything BUT him! Now he's REALLY done for!

Good point. I don't own the manga, but I can imagine it looked totally sweet when 17 took Gohan down. Was it with a ki blast or a brutal kick or what? It also seems pathetic that it took BOTH of them to beat Gohan, especially with his arm missing. Was his arm missing when 17 killed him and what did he say to piss him off so much in the first place? Yes, it was a very lame death in the anime as well. But I did like how that is what caused Trunk's ascent to SS in the anime.
It's left totally up to our imagination. Gohan kicks him into debris which rips up his favorite clothes to shit. This makes him so mad that he says he won't forgive him (meaning this time=death and #17 vs Gohan only). He then mentions that when they last fought #17 was at only half power. Gohan is shocked and that's the end of the scene; Trunks finds him dead.

What is it about #17 and #18 getting ticked off whenever their clothes get damaged? I mean come on you two, if you're going to scrap with people, it's gonna happen, otherwise play a quiet game of chess next time if you want stay perfect! And maybe if you didn't blow up all the clothing stores after you shopped there, you wouldn't have to worry about replacing them! Try and plan ahead guys! Sheesh!

Just thought of something. It's not only Gohan that has a crappy death, it's the entire Z Senshi that go up against the androids. It's like *punch* Piccolo's dead. *Punch* Vegita's dead. They could have done a bit more there as well, I'm afraid. Would have been neat to see, anyways.Dayspring wrote:I hated how Gohan died in that special.
