Wait, haven't they ALWAYS used the Japanese music in the original Dragon Ball dub? Where is this third audio track coming from? The only thing I could think of that they could do is re-insert some insert songs.
Oh wow, you know what, I thought this was a general thread about the season set releases in general. My bad.
In that case... assuming there's a Dragon Box release for the original series, then yeah, there is literally no reason I could think of to pick up the Dragon Ball season set releases.

To the original poster, for the DB Hunt arc, yes. For the rest, it's like DBZ. If you don't have the rest of the series, then yes. If you do, then no.

I'll be buying the Dragon Ball season sets, because they are pretty cheap, and well, I want them! Who knows how long an announcement for a Dragon Box can take? And well, for me, it'll look somewhat nice next to the other bricks on my shelf.
There isn't anything that screams they would bother with the Dragon Ball-Boxes for the time being, especially because the Z boxes were revealed not too long after the Dragon Ball season set announcement. Although if a Dragon Box does come out for it...I'll just end up buying it, then. I hate throwing my money around, but the season sets will have served their purpose of a complete way for me to watch the series by then.
I think I'll be buying assorted Dragon Ball things for the rest of my life.
