How often do you watch Dragon Ball (excluding Kai)?
I don't watch it regularly, but it's addicting.
Every now and then, I'll just happen upon a clip of an episode, or watch one episode. I'll tell myself I'll just watch THAT scene, but I always end up watching 40 more episodes in a row.

Tired, so I might as well post lol.
Well, since I got my Dragon Box Z Vol. 1, at least an episode or two a day since last Saturday.
Before that, I think I watched Movie 7 in Japanese a few months ago. Like September-ish.
Before that, a movie or two in English, maybe around the beginning of 2008? And a few movies here and there since Movies 11-13 came out.
As for the actual episodes, I watched the first UUE that came with Movie 13. And since then I haven't watched episodes since my last few vhs puchases, in like 2004~? Which I tried to watch some every month, after slowly dwindling down from everyday. I'm surprised my vhs of Goku turning SSJ3 still works. I must've watched that 10 times over, nonstop, after I bought it. Hellz yeah.
So yeah, it's been going downhill super slowly since it used to be on TV and I bought most of the last third of Z on vhs. But now with the Dragon Boxes, I'm sure I won't be able to put it down, since it'll be my first time seeing it all, and first time seeing more than the movies in Japanese.
Hot-diggity-damn!

So you read it instead like I do?SSJ2bardock wrote:For as much as I love Dragonball... I almost never watch it. I've tried to go back and rewatch it, I really have, but to be perfectly honest.... it's just too god damn boring.
Like most, aside from Kai and the Anniversary Special, it's been a long while since I've seen anything Dragon Ball related. I remember 2 years ago when after the first season set came out, I decided within those spanning two years to collect all of the Dragon Ball films released by FUNimation. I got the Dragon Ball Movie Box, Dragon Ball Z First Strike Box (Movies 1-3), the Remastered Widescreen Cooler Films, Movie 7, Broli Triple Threat Box, Fusion Reborn, and Movie 13. I couldn't find the Movie 4-6 Box Set with the Japanese Track anywhere. I ended up with the Edited English Track only box set, so I had to settle with the re-released Cooler Films. I managed to get mostly all the films with the exception of Movie 4, which I can live without, and the Dragon Ball film FUNimation never released.
From there, I mostly got my Dragon Ball fix through the annual video games and I'd usually go back and re-read/skim through the manga because Toriyama's artwork is just awesome (with the exception of a good chunk of the Boo arc). With the Dragon Box releases, I'll definitely be rewatching the series in Japanese for the first time, so that's exciting for me.

For the series as a whole, I watch it every couple of weeks, usually completing a random story arc and then just dropping it for a while.
However, the amount I watch differs GREATLY depending on the arc.

a lot of my Dragon Ball episodes I own I backed up on my computer when I went off to college, and are on my media server connected to my PS3...soooo....more frequently than if they were just left on their DVDs. I often find myself putting on Japanese episodes minus subtitles for background noise during homework/drawing time- it's a habit of mine from when I was a kid watching it on I-Channel... only back then it was pop in a randomly picked VHS because I failed to label all of them correctly, and ignore because I couldn't understand a word of Japanese until I took it as my foreign language in high school!
(Perhaps over the holidays I'll FINALLY organize all those old I-Channel recordings, even if they are a little redundant nowadays...)
I also almost always have a volume or two of the Japanese Manga volumes lying around. They take me awhile to read though because my knowledge of Japanese grammar+Kanji was the first thing to slowly trickle outta my ear when I stopped having a teacher/class to learn in, so I'm rusty as hell at it when I do have time to read them.
. That's okay though, I also only tend to buy them when I go to Seattle and Kinokuniya anyways...maybe once or twice a year if I'm lucky. >_>
