Renewed opening and new ending (Wings of the Heart)

Well, I'm glad it's the ending and not the opening, as the ending seems slightly less entrenched to Dragon Ball Kai as Dragon Soul does. But still, I like Yeah! Break! Care! Break! and will be sad to see it go. Plus, I just made myself a CD of every Dragon Ball-related theme, and I knew as soon as I did that, they'd bring out some new Kai song! Bleh...

Yes, it is an abbreviation for "ending". They use it because it is easier, and because it has two syllables, so they use the first to two letters of the two syllables.

This seems a little weird of a mixture to me, moe-type music and Dragon Ball (and it makes me want to hunt down that one photoshopped image I saw a while back)....but I look forward to new animation. I'll give the new ED a chance.

Personally, if we get a new opening theme at some point, I want to hear Hironobu Kageyama sing. (I can understand if Kai doesn't want to use him because they're trying to distance Kai from Z, but I'd still like to hear him.)

Are we at the age of teenage girly pop s**ts?? Yeah, this track from Hokuto No Ken can be considered as popish also, depending on the time's trends where in 80's there was popular rock. Rock is quite technical type of music, to play on drums and guitars. I can play drums and it's not something you will come, sit and play, you must learn that also nor speaking about guitar. But nowadays trendy music? Everything is simple to produce, with no originality. I can produce you something like that in five minutes, maybe I will also make a video on youtube to document that.

Also you said that Tanimoto was doubted but did well. You mustn't forget that it's not Tanimoto who composed music, that's Iwasaki Takafumi. Kyouda Seiichi did the final arrangement we all hear in opening and Yoshimoto Yumi wrote the lyrics.
Only thing for which should be Tanimoto Takayoshi praised or hated is his voice, that's all, he's only performing what someone will write for him. That's the reality.
As a musician, I don't appreciate this people, because I see them only as performers.

I'm not insane over her, but she's fairly popular, and not that bad an actress/singer.

If there's no way to avoid "moeblob shit" in Dragon Ball, Hirano would probably be our best bet at a half-decent song.
