Dragon Ball Z in 3D !?

3D tv's are set to be on the market soon, these TV's are capable of transferring any modern picture into 3D. I'm not sure how the animation of DragonBall will hold up against this kind of transfer though. At the moment there are pubs all across Britain that feature a 3D TV with a "Sky 3D" box as a little taster, the pubs air live football matches in 3D and hand out glasses so that everyone can spectate.

These TV's are for the future and I would personally love to own one, just like we had "HD Ready" TV's we now have "3D Ready" TV's. There is an option on these TV's that allow you to switch between normal TV and 3D TV, obviously these TV's won't come in cheap so we're looking over $1500 minimum.

Relating it to DragonBall: I don't see why it wouldn't work, maybe not so with old singles but maybe with the new Kai Blu-Rays? The Playstation 3 and blu-ray players will all be compatible with it and the TV will convert the image to how it should be; your brain does the rest of the work.

There are two types of glasses you can use: the standard flimsy ones you get at the cinema, and an electronic one powered by a 6V battery (I think) which works with shutters moving really fast. It's said that the experience is better than the industrial type you get in the cinema. This is really the only way I can see DragonBall coming out in 3D, as Caster Troy said: in a way that you wan't to see Vegeta throw a punch and it would look like its about to smash you in the face.

Those 3D signals come from broacast stations (albeit, none that I know of yet) and from 3D Blu-ray/DVD players. It's another total upgrade, on top of needing to buy those annoying glasses which cost a ridiculous amount of money.

If it doesn't use the same material from the original series like Kai, then I might be interested. Even then though I'm not really into this whole 3d gimmick.

I hate 3D. It always makes my head hurt.

On top of that, there have been some concerns that watching a whole lot of 3D might not be good for the eyes. None of that is confirmed of course, but, at least, to me, it doesn`t do me any good, since I have some difficulty following fast scenes in 3D (which I don`t have in 2D) and it always tires my eyes and my head, even if there are no fast scenes.

That`s why I`ve given up on 3D completely. Unlike HD, which truly enhances the experience of cinema and TV, 3D doesn`t do it at all for me. Actually, even if didn`t have any trouble watching it, I still wouldn`t get what the fuss about 3D is about.

So, Dragon Ball in 3D for me has no interest.

I honestly don't see why 3-D is so overhyped nowadays. I mean, it's been around for a pretty long time. I guess it's mainly because of Hollywood movies using the gimmick to attract consumers in the past decade.

But really, I find it pretty stupid, to be honest. It doesn't do anything but cause eye strain and give me a major headache. I guess it could work for some movies... but implementing that into TVs and video games, like what Nintendo's doing with the DS, and Sony following suit?

Until people finally figure out how to implement 3D with out the usage of glasses I will not support the concept. I think the idea is a great one now that we are past the gimmick of having someone reach out at the audience every 5 seconds but with home releases the concept is still weak. I went to the Sony store the other day and it costs a crap ton of money for one of those 3D tvs and they only come with two pairs of glasses(and the situation is the same with Samsung). I live with a family of five and we constantly have people over so two pairs of glasses isn't going to cut it.

I'd like to see Dragonball with 3D implications, the idea sounds great but it's just the wrong time right now.
