I have a feeling Krillin's parents could have died when East City blew up.
Oh, you think the Grand Tour is your ally, you merely stepped into the Grand Tour. I was born in it, moulded by it. I didn’t see the Super until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but blinding!

I guess Toriyama didn't feel it was necessary to introduce Krillin's, Yamcha's, Ten's and Chaozu's parents.
Well, FUNimation decided to call that three-eyed ghost woman at the Next World restaurant "Tien's Mom".

That was only in the credits, right?

Yeah, it was in the credits of the first Dragon Box. And before anyone asks, I'm going to safely go out on a limb and say there won't be any mention of it in the upcoming wiki as it's just random FUNimation nonsense.

Yeah, I thought so. I actually want this to be true, but I know it's just something FUNi made up. :P

It was also in the credits as far back as the original Ultimate Uncut releases.

Oh, really? I guess that makes sense. I never bothered to watch the dub credits, nor was I aware they were ever directly matching up actor to character. Thanks for pointing that out.

I hope that she wasn't really Tien's mum. Screenshot please?
A character who is named in the credits isn't a real character. Except Count Dracula and various movie/TV special characters.

You don't have to worry. She's not. Just because FUNimation gave her that title doesn't mean it's true. Anything that originates from FUNimation is automatically not true. I don't have a screenshot, but she's just some random three-eyed lady in the otherworldly bar in a filler scene. And the fact that it's a filler scene already invalidates her potential as being Tenshinhan's mom, even if the original scene had made that implication, which it doesn't.

Well.... Umigame had a son in filler. That's as far as filler goes for families.

Yeah, but that's still not canonically accurate. And, like I said, even as far as filler goes, there's no implication in that scene that she is. All she does is accuse the cashier of giving her back incorrect change and then freak out when his head falls off. That's her only role in this scene. I don't even think FUNimation took their designation seriously. I'm fairly sure it was just a joke when they had to bill her as "something." She had three eyes, so, there you go.

Maybe same race. The "triclops" mentioned in the Daizenshuu.
King Chapa had family in filler. But I think it's canon because it was in that special jump issue.

Well huh. I guess it's just been too long since I've watched that part of the series. Funimation needs to get done with the Z Dragonboxes so I can start laying down for more blue bricks (or Dragon Ball Dragonboxes).
