I read the manga and my imagination is more than enough to bring the characters and the manga to life.SSVegetto wrote:The anime always(for me at least). It brings the characters to life, the show to life.
It's really not, IMHO. The anime keeps a stale and non-changeable experience. With the manga, you can always change the experience. Hell, you can even have your own soundtrack to it!SSVegetto wrote:Since the anime is basically the same thing and it's more exciting watching it. And also since Viz censors the manga. Why even buy it?
And the censoring in Viz's version of the manga isn't that awful. From what I understand, the only difference is some foam and other minor obscurities.
I for one watch the anime from time to time. But I still think that it's a hassle to fast forward, like every 5 minutes where nothing is happening (that included characters staring at eachother, and comic reliefs having small and boring adventures).SSVegetto wrote: You can just fast forward the scenes you don't like. I don't see the big deal.
To be honest, the scenes I like the most in the anime are mostly in the manga too. There are some filler that are enjoyable, sure, but it's mostly not worth the time.
As a note, I'm using your post to explain my standpoint. I'm not against people liking the anime, I'm just stating my opinion.
