I think we may be in the clear with the Ginyu all having new voices, at least I hope so.
Keep Jeice! :P
Yes I wish they would keep Aussie Jeice, but since it seems like every Ginyu is getting a new voice it's not likely.

Good, I hope the Freeza recast continues to influence them into making the right choices for the series.

Sadly I cannot picture him sounding anything BUT Australian...It'd be weird...maybe if they got an actual Australian guy to play him? :?
I completely respect your opinion, and I respect you. I enjoyed discussing this with you, even if I don't completely agree.

I didn't mean to say I believe it's not going to be there anymore, I just don't want it to be.

I'm hoping Brice Armstrong comes back and voices Captain Ginyu again. I love that scene when he is yelling at one of the henchmen for touching a dragon ball; I lol at that every time. On wiki(pedia?) it says he retired from voice acting, so the possibility of him coming back is slim (unless it's already been confirmed he's not).

I like Justin Cook's Super Buu. I doubt he will be replaced.

I really wanted to see a new Yamcha. I don't like Sabat's "dude" voice for him.

Oolong being replaced was pointless. Why the heck didn't they get Brad Jackson back? He was great as Oolong.

Seeing how the Ginyu force, Zarbon, Cell, and others that I know of are getting new voices, I don't see anyone else getting replaced in the future.

If he tones down the rasp a bit I could live with him coming back. But I always pictured Ginyu with a more youthful voice, Ginyu and his men are like a bunch of space jocks to me, part of there charm. I thought ocean Ginyu was a lot cooler sounding, but I wouldn't mind them rethinking Ginyu in English completely.
Codarik wrote: Oolong being replaced was pointless. Why the heck didn't they get Brad Jackson back? He was great as Oolong.
Brad was fine Indeed, but I don't get the criticisms of the new Oolong at all, it sounds completely natural to me. Kinda like if Brad decided to age his Oolong voice. The new voice actually makes me think of if Scott McNeil actually managed not to sound forced as Oolong, the Kai voice is what he'd sound like. Let's be honest here, Pu'er, Chiaotzu, Oolong, I feel sorry for any actor taking on theses roles. There's literally nothing to them, I mean seriously Toriyama, explain. Are these guys eternal or what? While your at it, AGE BULMA'S PARENTS for crying out loud!

So yeah, the Japanese Olong's voice didn't even try to sound older, and I don't blame him, Toriyama didn't even bother to age him either. So aslong as it doesn't make my ears bleed, I have no issue with dub Kai Oolong sounding like Rat-trap mixed with a used car salesmen.

He won't, he's retired.

I keep hearing this, but I've never seen anything official say he's retired. All I've seen is wiki saying so.

Kirbopher, a reliable guy, has stated that Kyle Hebert told him so. Also, the fact that his is no longer playing Marcoh in Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood is evidence towards this.

I'm thinking (hoping...) that Trunks will get a new voice actor, or at least have it sound more kind and polite. I just heard his voice in the new Dragon Box Z trailer, and it really took me by surprise with how un-Trunks-like it was. It's been seven or eight years since I'd last heard it, and I still feel it's all wrong for the character.

FUNimation was obviously trying to make him something he's not. Scott Morgan even said that FUNimation actually lied to Faulconer Productions (saying that Trunks was evil) to have them create a different style of music for him than what would fit the real Trunks.

Highly doubt we'll get a Trunks recast, but Vale can act.

I bet with this new script he'll sound much more like the real Trunks.

Eric Vale is an okay Trunks, voice-wise, though his delivery isn't that great. I don't see any real reason to replace him if Sabat can get him to up his performance.

That said, if they do replace him, I recommend Aaron Dismuke. I'd love to hear what he does with the role.

He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

Do you mean Kirbopher, the dude who said we'd have a Frieza on the level of the Japanese actor? He is confusing me. Every time he says something cool is gonna happen, y'all start flippin and don't care for it.

There's a difference between information and opinion, with opinions being subjective. While I don't necessarily agree with his opinion on the new Freeza voice, he's certainly reliable in terms of information.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Indeed, so I hope he goes for a more subtle approach to his "Trunks voice."

Exactly, if Eric Vale is handed a script that isn't awful I'm pretty confident he can pull this off.
