Re: What should I do? (blue bricks or wait?)
I'm collecting the blue bricks for now. Make no mistake, though. If and when FUNi comes out with a Dragon Box of Dragon Ball, I will most certainly get it. You see, I have a strange tendency to double-dip if I feel that what I already have isn't good enough. So far, the only series that fits this category is Dragon Ball Z. I've bought some of the singles, all 9 season sets, and currently, the Dragon Boxes, which will definitely be my final purchase of Z. And with all the flaws of the DB blue bricks (exclusive use of English credits/titles, improper OP and ED animations on several episodes, excluding previews, and being badly zoomed in), I will definitely buy DBoxes of that if FUNimation gets the masters. I guess the reason I'm supporting the blue bricks is because at this point, nobody knows if FUNi will get the DBox masters for DB, and I really wanted to finally see it (and especially episodes 1-13) uncut, since I missed out on buying the 2-disc volumes. So, whether or not you should wait is up to you. You can wait for a DB box if you want, but it's possible you'll be waiting forever if we're not lucky. If you really want to get DB and don't mind the flaws of the blue bricks, then go ahead and pick them up. Just be prepared if FUNi does announce the aquisition of DBox masters, as I am.

Huh, so if there is going to be more sets, they will likely be announced at Otakon?

Thanks for all the replies regarding my situation. I have made my decision. I am going to buy the blue bricks. When I get them, I will see if I like them etc. Then, if the Dragon Ball Dragon Box is announced, I'll probably sell the blue bricks.

I wouldn't expect much for them. By then I'd imagine they would be very cheap even in new condition and even cheaper used. Plus the demand for them probably won't be too high.jordanator wrote: I'll probably sell the blue bricks.

I think I may actually pick up the Blue Bricks for the dub. Then when dragon boxes come, I will pick it up to hear the show in Japanese. Mainly because I actually like Dragon Ball's dub becasue it is close to the Japanese show.

Why couldn't you get the DBoxes for the dub as well? Presumably they would have it...
Do you follow the most comprehensive and entertaining Dragon Ball analysis series on YouTube? If you do, you're smart and awesome and fairly attractive. If not, see what all the fuss is about without even having to leave Kanzenshuu:
