I just wish her power hadn't been static, and so she could have kept up with everyone else (at least to some degree) and still been important in the Buu arc.

I think that's simply because she was overshadowed by the current events of the story--you know, Boo, Super Saiyans, Fusion, the planet in danger of being wiped off the face of the galaxy. There was no time for an Earthling to do anything of importance. Although, I do really hate it that Toriyama went down the clichéd route of making her fall in love with Gohan, then making her retire from martial arts and become a boring, generic wife.

I just think it was poor planning, even for Toriyama. He introduced a new main character only to immediately sideline her. It's not as though the plot was locked in. If he'd really wanted to, he surely could have found a way for her to have been useful.

I like android 18, just becuase she's a kick ass fighter, even though she's evil in Trunks' future, she put a stop to Vegeta when he thought he was all bad ass for becoming a super saiyan. I always liked how overpowered she was in her debut
