I don't know how it goes in Canada, but in the US those with subscriptions get the mag a week before the stores do. I don't subscribe anymore, but that was how it was when I did.

*rages with Dayspring since she also posted that fact above* :x

Can I have your KFC fries Daysrping?^^
Sorry, Jersey. I ate them hours before you posted. **Rages over how he only got the March issue today while you guys have the April for a week**

Seeing Atemu's mug month after month disturbs me.

On top of that they are on the Ancient Egypt arc where Atemu is the star. So we are really going to be in for it.
But I think they mentioned that Dr. Slump will be coming into the picture. So that might get some play on its first run.

Dr. Slump is going to be Graphic Novel-only, as I recall. And considering the kind of humor it involves, that's for the best.

Whatever do you mean Julian? You don't think a robot girl playing with poo on a stick will go over well with soccer moms? :D

You right Julian. The most play that Arale will ever get is the promotion treatment. Her first chapter in the front of the magazine and a little picture of her somewhere on the cover sidekicking Shonen Jump's favorite hero, Yugi.

Well, Dr. Slump WILL have a preview chapter in the next SJ, but I think that's just it. Which is kind of screwed up, because now Shonen Jump is one manga shorter. How will they fill the space?

A new manga or more chapters of what they already have in there. Either way is good for me, because I wasn't really getting enough new manga with SJ. Read most of them a long time ago, including DB.

A shame, really. Shonen Jump seemed a little dull after SandLand ended, and now with Dragon Ball...let's just hope Viz doesn't do the same to any of the other titles.

Do you even think that they will allow the afore-mentioned "poo-on-a-stick"?

Speaking of Dr. Slump, anyone think that Funimation or another company should dub the anime and bring it here?

Absolutely, Dr. Slump is just crazy enough to have an audience on adult swim, and they can bill it as "the crazy comedy from the creator of Dragonball Z!"
SJ Dragonball Graphic Novel, Volume 9, page 60. That is all.

...although Dragon Ball Z is the hard-hitting action series from the creator of Dr. Slump. :)

I don't think Dr. Slump would have too much of an audience aside from die-hard Toriyama fans. Then general populace didn't care about anything in Dragon Ball except the fights. What's in Dr. Slump that would keep them interested?

Obscene comedy? Most of the reason I love DB is because it can make me life. I like comedy more than "DIEEEE!!1111111111111".

But they did pass off DragonBall as "Some stuff that happened before DragonBall Z".

Ya I suppose they could pass it off as, "The whole story of that strange girl who helped Goku fight Tao!" :D

Indeed, it pisses me off how most people watch Dragonball Z simply for the fights & not for it's bizzare appeal ( though I was once like that too). Personally I like the gag-style fights from Dragonball. (Sighs) I miss Rock
Scissors Paper, Classic Toriyama. I wish he kept that in Z.

Jan Ken, yeah. That was good stuff. *trails off to Goku's fight with Jackie Chun, where he tactically used Jan Ken.*

That's only in that one movie. In the crossover in the manga nad anime, it's Gen. Blue's ass that she kicks.
