I don't think it will be quite that bad. The Dragon Box format for the release may be limited, but FUNimation bought the masters so it stands to reason that, at some point once the Dragon Boxes have all been released, the series could be re-released with the Dragon Box masters in more economical packaging.

Considering how much FUNi rereleases Dragon Ball, I really wouldn't put it beyond them to do that... And to throw in the Faulconer score while they're at it just to top themselves.

Of course, I'll be just happy with my Dragon Boxes. It would have been nice to know that I only have so long to pick them up, though. Funds are tight and I've been picking up the Blue Bricks instead just because I'm fond of the Piccolo Daimao arc... >.<

One expects you to keep your mouth shut if you're just gonna be an underhanded asshole about your misunderstanding of target demographics and your view of the actual true score for the show.

Otherwise, feel free to clearly state your feelings on the matter.

I wanted to make the exploding chunks yellow, but I decided that would take too much extra effort.

Haha, awesome. I had no idea, though, that "Kuririn" was the Japanese word for "Dragon Box."

Yeah, that's about right.

Anyhow...this is worrisome news, indeed. They could re-release the Dragon Boxes in thin-packs (with a sleeve) like their current two-disc sets probably for much cheaper.

Teeheehee

Anyway, good thing I didn't wait to pick up the first two. The initial 2 season sets sucked so I needed a replacement.

hahaha Castor, that was awesome.

I've been pre-ordering them as they come out, but this is still disappointing news. I wish I had enough funds to buy two copies of each box.

Unsurprising. FUNi has been saying that they didn't expect nearly the sales they got with the season sets, and when you aren't expecting much in terms of sales you don't keep your product in production indefinitely.

Looks like I have no choice but to go to my local Bestbuy and pick up some ($50.00, yeah right. I think I'll just buy a few Amazon gift cards). -.-

I have no problem with this, and it actually sounds like a pretty cool thing for us fans who nab them as they get released but... FUNimation are assholes nonetheless! Think about this. Four of them were already released. And now the earlier ones are starting to get scarcer and scarcer. Some people were either saving up money or waiting for holidays or even debating whether they should pick them up at some point, feeling safe that they're always going to be out there. And now one year later after four of them have been released, when the pressure is rising and we were starting to connect the dots that they're becoming harder and harder to find... NOW they decide to tell everyone that they're going to be a limited release? So everyone who didn't buy them, doesn't have the option to wait and decide on this, they have to go scramble to find the damn things.

I can feel it now...

The Terror... of eBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!

I've recently experienced purchasing a limited item from eBay. I payed a $100 for what's originally a $60 figure. Would you imagine how much would they sell the boxes in the future?!

I doubt it would be less than $120 for one set.

Though I've been pre-ordering them as they came out, it is rather sad that they are a true limited release. However, at the same time, I actually LIKE the idea of it. Makes owning them a bit more awesome :D

Also, that video is absolutely amazing.

That video was awesome, Caster Troy! :D

I am so glad I got all the Dragon Boxes up to this point but I hope that some inevitable decision doesn't happen which would of resulted in Boxes 5 to 7 not getting released.
